MemberHey Emiliano! Thanks for following up and thanks a TON for running through those steps for me–that helps a lot. 🙂
It’s possible that your theme is using a different version of jQuery than what comes packaged with WordPress by default. I would suggest getting in touch with the theme author to see if that is the case and, if so, how to dequeue that version on the calendar pages. Not trying to push the issue off to someone else–I truly think that will be the easiest way to fix the problem since the theme author knows the code for the theme better than us.
Let me know if any questions pop up in that process that I can help answer!

MemberHi Emiliano,
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the forums. I hope you’ve been enjoying the plugins so far. 🙂
Will you please try the steps outlined here to test for conflicts? The reason I ask is that I see a JS error in the console when viewing the site and want to make sure there are no conflicts with the theme or other installed plugins before we start looking for other possibilities.
Let’s start there and see what we find.
Thanks!

MemberHello @Dylan,
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the forums. I’m glad to see you made the jump up to PRO and hope you’re enjoying it so far. 🙂
Good question. Are you looking to embed the mini calendar on another page or post? If so, you can do that by inserting [tribe_mini_calendar] into the body and it will display the mini calendar.
In fact, here’s a great article that walks through all of our PRO shortcodes and how to use them. I think you’ll find that useful.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers,

MemberHi @Jason,
Thanks for reaching out!
Great question. iCal Importer will indeed treat the same event from two different feeds as unique events. That’s because it checks for duplicates based on the feed it is importing from.
Checking for duplicates from multiple feeds is a great idea. While iCal Importer does not offer that now, it does spark some interesting conversation for how we might be able to handle duplicates across all of our importing plugins. I’ve flagged this topic for our team to talk about more. I can’t promise anything will come out of it, but it will certainly be discussed.
In the meantime, would you also be willing to open a new thread in our feature request forum? This is also a good way to make sure things stay on the radar and it allows others to chime in and vote for the same feature.
Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberMy pleasure! Sorry I didn’t catch that a little sooner, but the screenshot helped a ton. 🙂

MemberHi Therese,
I’m so glad my last reply did the trick!
I think the blank was due to the fact that the maps was empty.
Yeah, spacing is often the result of the widget CSS interacting with the theme’s CSS. Sometimes those clash and need to be tailored a bit to tighten things up.
I think I have to add a new file called list-widget.php in my theme’s directory, in tribe-events/pro/widgets, is it correct?
That’s correct! You do need a template override to make that happen.
This is the template you want to copy from the plugin:
events-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.phpThen add that to your theme directory in:
tribe-events/pro/widgets/modules/From there, you can place the_excerpt() where you would like it to display in the widget.
Cheers!

MemberHey James,
Quick question: are you using PayPal for your WooCommerce payments?
The reason I ask is that we have seen reports come in where neither method properly decreases the ticket quantity in the inventory. I found this thread as an example, as well as this one. In short, it happens when Paypal is used to purchase tickets and runs into an error that does not get returned to WooCommerce. So, the transaction status from from Pending to Processing but PayPal never provides the confirming that the order is complete or if it hit an error preventing the transaction from happening.
You can check out my colleague Brian’s answer to this. Unfortunately, this seems to be on the WooCommerce side of things and something that we’ve tried looking into and determined that we were unable to resolve it on our end.
So sorry for the trouble! Does this at least help clarify what’s happening?

MemberHi Peter and thanks for reaching out! i’m stoked to see you’re considering The Events Calendar and I hope it’s a good fit for your site. 🙂
We do have an add-on for The Events Calendar called Community Events you might want to check out. This allows registered users (or anonymous ones, if you choose) to submit events to The Events Calendar. From there, you could do something like get_users() to create the list you’re referring to.
Is Events Calendar Pro compatible with the Listify theme?
I honestly have not worked with Listify in the past and am not sure it is completely compatible with The Events Calendar. I do know that we try to integrate and be compatible with as many other themes and plugins as possible. Still, there are cases where something may not be 100% perfect.
For that reason, I suggest downloading the free version of The Events Calendar and taking it for a spin. If all seems good, go ahead and purchase Community Events (assuming that is what you’re looking for) and take advantage of our full refund policy on any purchases within 30 days with receipt. That should give you ample time to see if everything is working well together.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Lasbat,
No worries at all! Like I said, I totally understand how frustrating things get–especially when you pay good money for something and it doesn’t work the way you’d expect.
I’m so glad you’re staying on board and have noted your feedback and flagged it for the team to review. Anything we can do to clearly communicate the plugin’s shortcode features is a benefit for both us and customers.
Is there anything else I can help answer here in this thread with you? Otherwise, please do hit us up with a new thread if you or your buddy run into any questions about theming and we’d be happy to help as best we can!
Cheers, man.

MemberThanks for following up, Lasbat!
I’ve definitely been in similar situations in the past and know how frustrating it is to invest in something and then feel like there are no options to make things work the way I had hoped. In this case, I’m super sorry that the referral from Beaver Builder (while appreciated by us!) led to some unmet expectations.
I do want to let you know that it is indeed possible to customize the single event template itself. I hesitate sharing because you’ve already mentioned being uncomfortable with code, but our Themer’s Guide does walk through the process of how to override any of the calendar’s templates for you to make any customizations to the layout and appearance that you seem fit. I have a hunch that this would help you get what you’re looking for, but it does certainly require some custom lifting that we unfortunately would be unable to support–though would be happy to help point you in the right direction as best we can.
The other route is going with a refund. I know it would be a bummer to ditch one solution and have to look for another, but I want to make sure you don’t feel trapped into making an investment in something with no recourse for getting out of it.
Thanks again for following up! Please let me know if you’d like me to help process the refund for you and I’d be happy to get that going.

MemberHi Lasbat,
I’m really sorry for the disappointment here. While I never like seeing this level of frustration come back our way, I do appreciate the fact that you shared it with us. Any level of feedback–positive or negative–is used constructively and this is no exception.
That said, I am definitely curious to know more about your experience with shortcodes, as this is the first time I’ve personally come across this sort of feedback since we released shortcodes several months ago. For example, what specifically do you find different about The Event Calendar PRO’s shortcodes from others you have used that make them more difficult to use?
Why isn’t there just a simple list that shows this shortcode will display the full event details page.
We do have a complete list of available PRO shortcodes detailed in this knowledgebase article (which I believe you may have referenced earlier). Please do note that there are no shortcodes to display the single event view–in other words, all of the shortcodes are for embedding the PRO widgets into any page or post. Embedding individual events is not a supported feature.
I’m wondering if that is where some of the confusion is because it seems you were expecting this feature, because none of our documentation or instructions were providing details for it since it does not exist. Does that sound like the case? If so, perhaps there is a way we can tighten up our wording to make sure that’s not a confusion for others in the future.
Why can’t every event you create, just have a simple shortcode in wordpress at the top of the page that says “this is your shortcode” for this event page.
That’s certainly an interesting idea! If the feature to embed a single event with a shortcode was available, then that would definitely make the process very slick and simple. Great idea!
All I want to do is show the full event page details in one simple bloody shortcode.
I totally hear you here and am sorry for the letdown and disappointment that this is not an included feature. It seems there was a miscommunication somewhere in what the plugin is capable of doing and you were expecting this feature to be included. If it is in fact a deal-breaker, I would encourage you to take advantage of our full refund within 30 days of any purchase. While I’d hate to lose a customer, I do want to make sure we do right by you here, so please let us know if that is something you would like to do and we can process that for you.
Thanks again for writing in and I hope this at least helps clarify the situation a little more.
