MemberHi Arnie,
When I did that I lost the meta box on the left side of the page.
Is there any possibility of having a link to your site where I can see the page template changes? The calendar’s meta box is below the event content by default and there is no left side/sidebar (example). I’m hoping an example where I can see those changes will give me an idea of what the template override did and compare them to default.
Thanks so much!

MemberHi Annie,
First off, I’m really sorry about the frustration. I’m happy to help get things back on track for you here.
Automatic updates are definitely available for any and all our plugins. In order to activate them, please follow the steps outlined in this article. It provides step-by-step instructions for registering your license on a site which will then activate the automatic updates in WordPress when they are available.
The latest versions of the plugins are also available to download directly from your account here on this site. Log in and head to My Account > Downloads and you will access to all the latest versions (and past versions) that are included in your license.
I do want to note that the update from 3.11 t0 4.2 is a really big one. As such, I would highly suggest reading through our release notes for possible breaking changes (there definitely were some between 3.12 and 4.0) and backing up your site files and database before updating as you would for any other WordPress site update.
Sorry again for the trouble here — does this help get things back on track? Please let me know.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHey Andre and welcome to the forums!
These are great questions.
1. Is it possible to create a month view for logged in users, where all events are shown, even those, that arn’t released yet.
It is possible to set an event as “private” in which case the event, when published, will only be visible to those logged into WordPress.
Another more technical way to go about it would be to add all your internal, private events to a specific category, then make that category accessible only to logged in visitors with a template override like this.
2. Is there a Add-On that makes it possible for logged in users, to double click on a day on the month-grid to add an event?
Not exactly like that, but close! We do have an add-on called Community Events and that allows visitors to submit events to your calendar. You can moderate those submissions and restrict the submissions to select user roles if you’d like.
As a side note, there’s another add-on called Community Tickets that, when used with Community Events and Event Tickets Plus, will allow those who submit events to the calendar to sell tickets for those events and for you to take a slice of the sales as well.
Does this help answer your questions? Definitely let me know if you there’s anything else I can add and I’d be happy to. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey there and thanks for reaching out!
It is possible to allow those who submit events to create tickets for their events and for you to take a cut of those sales if you use Community Events with Community Tickets.
Charging for event submissions, however, is something that Community Events does not do right out of the box. I have heard of others using Community Events and Restrict Content Pro together to create a paywall between visitors and posting events, so that might be worth checking out. 🙂
Do you think that will do the trick for you? Let me know!
Cheers,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHey Simon,
Great question–yes, that’s totally possible, but does require our Filter Bar add-on. That allows visitors to filter events on a number of different variables and does include live filtering as items are checked.
Is that what you’re looking for? Please let me know if you have any questions at all about Filter Bar and I’d be happy to help. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey Mylene,
You’re on the exact path I was going to suggest! Nice work. 🙂
To get the notice off the single event in that specific category, try adding this snippet to your functions.php file. It seemed to do the trick when I tested it out on my own site.
I do want to note that you might need to change the text for the notice in that snippet to match your site’s language. Whatever the exact notice is, use that in place of the “This events has passed.” text.
Will this work for you? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHey Ted,
Great question! A category feed is definitely included by default and can be reached following this URL format:
[your-site]/events/[category-slug]/feed
I’m afraid that Venue pages in Events Calendar PRO do not include their own RSS feed. It does, however, include the ability to pull the .ics file for that venue, which can then be used in Google Calendar or other calendar applications.
Does this help clear things up a bit? Please let me know and I’d be happy to help.
Cheers,

MemberHey Peter,
So sorry for the trouble here with the file upload field! Let’s dig into this together to see what’s causing this.
First off, I notice you are running the following plugin versions:
- The Events Calendar 4.1.2
- Events Calendar PRO 4.1.2
- Community Events 4.1.1
Are you able to update to the latest version (4.2) of those plugins? I tried testing the Community Events submission form on a default WordPress install with all plugins running version 4.2 and the image upload appeared to work exactly as expected, with or without an image attached to the event.
When you update to 4.2, it’s worth reading through our release notes to see what’s changed and to make backups of your files and database before updating. Always a good idea when making any updates to the site. 🙂
Also, just to confirm, you’re uploading image files, correct? Want to make sure because the field will not accept any other image file format.
Let’s start her and see what we find.

MemberHi Kelly,
Thanks so much for reaching out! I’m glad you came across our plugins. 🙂
Yes, the Week View and Week Widget are both included in Events Calendar PRO, but not in the free version of The Events Calendar.
Does this help answer your question? Let me know if you have any other questions about Events Calendar PRO and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

MemberHey Geoff (nice name!),
Absolutely, the following two shortcode comes included with Community Events: [tribe_community_events]
Use that in your page to display the event submission form. More on the shortcode can be found right here:

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberWe typically ship two maintenance releases a month and the next one should be coming up late next week, if all goes according to schedule.
Thanks for your patience while we work on this.

MemberHey Mike,
I looked into that more and see that is actually a known issue with our settings and that they appear to not save. The good news is that we’re working on it and plan to release a patch in our next maintenance release (4.2.1) if all goes accordingly to schedule.
I’ve made a note of this thread in the ticket and we’ll follow up with you once a fix has been released.
Thanks for the heads up and for your patience while we work on this!
