Hi there,

I’m still thinking about buying the Events Calendar Pro.
But I need to know two things before

1. Is it possible to create a month view for logged in users, where all events are shown, even those, that arn’t released yet.
2. Is there a Add-On that makes it possible for logged in users, to double click on a day on the month-grid to add an event?

We are a music band. And there are a lot of bookings. We need to notice them even before they are fixed for 100%. Actually we write all events on a tourplan and additionally we need to put them into our event calendar of our website, when they are fixed…
The goal is, to fuse the tourplan and events calendar of the website to one…

So we write all events into the calendar of the website and want to see all in the month view when we are logged in. When an event is fixed, we just click on “release” in the “quickedit” function and it’s visible for all users.

Hey Andre and welcome to the forums!

These are great questions.

1. Is it possible to create a month view for logged in users, where all events are shown, even those, that arn’t released yet.

It is possible to set an event as “private” in which case the event, when published, will only be visible to those logged into WordPress.

Another more technical way to go about it would be to add all your internal, private events to a specific category, then make that category accessible only to logged in visitors with a template override like this.

2. Is there a Add-On that makes it possible for logged in users, to double click on a day on the month-grid to add an event?

Not exactly like that, but close! We do have an add-on called Community Events and that allows visitors to submit events to your calendar. You can moderate those submissions and restrict the submissions to select user roles if you’d like.

As a side note, there’s another add-on called Community Tickets that, when used with Community Events and Event Tickets Plus, will allow those who submit events to the calendar to sell tickets for those events and for you to take a slice of the sales as well.
