    Why do multiple listings occur when I create a recurring event. even if I have the Recurring events instances checked in settings. Also I cannot change the “Clean up recurring” or “Create recurring events in advance for” settings.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I was just checking out your site (looking nice!) and found the test recurring event you had set up and it appears to only show once in the Month View (screenshot) as expected.

    It’s worth noting that the setting to for showing only the first instance of a recurring series only applies to the List-style views in the plugin. In other words, a recurring event that has future instances will continue to display all the instances in something like Month View. Just want to mention that since it appears that Month View is the default view for your calendar.

    Also I cannot change the “Clean up recurring” or “Create recurring events in advance for” settings.

    That’s very strange indeed! I tried changing the settings myself on a test site and it appeared to work correctly (screencast). Is the issue that you change the values in those fields and they stay the same, even after saving your settings?

    Hello Geoff,

    Yes I change the values and save. Once the page reloads the values have reverted back.

    Hey Mike,

    I looked into that more and see that is actually a known issue with our settings and that they appear to not save. The good news is that we’re working on it and plan to release a patch in our next maintenance release (4.2.1) if all goes accordingly to schedule.

    I’ve made a note of this thread in the ticket and we’ll follow up with you once a fix has been released.
