MemberHi Aftab,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Yes, that is absolutely possible in Events Calendar PRO. The add-on includes a feature that adds a recurring events feature to The Events Calendar where you can create an event that repeats daily, weekly, monthly or annually.
Here is more information, including screenshots, of how the feature works:

MemberHi Christopher,
Thanks for getting in touch! I’m glad to hear you’re considering our plugins for your project and I hope they’re a great fit. 🙂
Good question and, yes, it is totally possible to (1) embed events on your homepage using a shortcode, (2) only display featured events in that list, and (3) have that list automatically updated.
There are a number of ways to go about it. For example, you could:
- Embed a full calendar view on the homepage and show only featured events.
- Embed an event widget on the homepage and show only featured events.
- Embed a single event on the homepage and include only the details you want.
Each one gives you a little different level of control for what you want to do, but you should be able to do exactly what you want with at least one of those options.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi Jennifer,
Thanks for following up!
I think it would be possible to do something similar to Filter Bar, but it would take a great amount of custom development to do it.
I’m afraid the other plugins do not have a shortcode or offer similar functionality as Filter Bar right out of the box.
One idea might be to add the event categories as links to your site’s menu. You can do that on the Appearance > Menus screen in the WordPress admin (screenshot).
Sorry for the bad news about built-in functionality, but I hope the idea of links in the menu is a good option and that this helps answer your question!
Thanks,

MemberHi Jennifer,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Yes, that is possible! In fact, we have an add-on called Filter Bar that is designed to do exactly that. It will allow your site visitors to filter events by a number of variables, including category.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi Dean,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Yeah, that should totally be possible. while our plugins do not have advertising as a built-in component, you can certainly customize the calendar and event templates to integrate them with the platform or tool you are using to sell and distribute ads.
Cheers!

MemberMy pleasure! I’ll keep this thread open in case any questions pop up that we can help answer as you reach out to the plugin author. Either way, please note that our system automatically closes threads after three weeks of inactivity — just wanted to give you a heads up in case that happens. 🙂

MemberHi @Samuel,
Thanks for getting in touch — I hope you had a great weekend!
Good question. The Events Calendar has a built-in RSS feed. If your calendar is located here:
[your-site]/events
…then you can locate your RSS feed at: [your-site]/events/feed
That is the link that anyone can add to a RSS reading application. Doing so will subscribe them to receive event posts when they are published.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi Ken,
That’s a totally legit way to hide those elements. Another way to would be to override the calendar template in your theme and remove the markup altogether.
I see you’ve already marked this thread Resolved, so I’ll go ahead and close it. Definitely let us know if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

MemberHi Mark,
Happy Monday — I hope you had a great weekend!
Thanks for following up, though I’m sorry to hear this is still an issue. Let’s keep digging together and see why recurring events are acting stubborn on your site.
As a next step, will you please follow the steps outlined in this guide? It’s going to walk you through a process where you will switch to a default WordPress theme and deactivate all non-calendar plugins.
The reason I want to do this is because the recurring events feature works on my test and I am running a default WordPress installation with the Twenty Seventeen theme and only The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO activated. Having you test in the same conditions will allow us to determine if a conflict with your theme or another installed plugin is causing the issue and, if so, help us locate it by re-activating each component one at a time.
Let’s give that a try and see what we find.
Thanks!

MemberHi Riccardo,
That’s the role you are going to want to replace. Instead, create a new role that simulates the “author” role and then:
- Edit that new role to include any other permissions needed from the “vendor admin” role
- Re-assign those who are currently set to “vendor admin” to the new role
At least, that is how I was able to do it in the steps noted in my last reply. I create a new role based off of Author, then was able to start reassigning posts to those assigned to that new role.

MemberHi Joe,
There are a few:
- tribe_community_events_is_community_event
- tribe_community_events_is_all_day
- tribe_community_is_field_required
- tribe_community_is_field_group_required
- tribe_community_events_is_venue_edit_screen
- tribe_community_events_is_organizer_edit_screen
I’m not sure if any of those will do the trick here, but I sure hope so!

MemberHi David,
Yes, that is correct. That is the correct template to duplicate and the correct folder location to place it.
