Hey GC, thanks for following up!

I’m sure there would be a way to display the names of attendees and use other images, but Event Tickets Plus does not support that out of the box and would require a bit of custom development to make it happen.

Sorry for the bad news there, but does that at least help clarify things a little more?

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hey there,

Great question! Event Tickets Plus does indeed have a feature that allows you to display a list of attendees registered for an event. It includes a “Who’s Attending” section on the event that displays the attendee photos from Gravatar.

Here’s a screenshot of the feature. You can ignore the number that three people are attending with one photo displayed because I pulled this from my test site where I had tested multiple purchases from the same account. 🙂

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hey Colin,

That is totally possible, but would require a bit of custom development to accomplish. In this case, you would want to override the template for Month View (more on this in our Themer’s Guide) by adding the tribe_get_start_time() function to the event post title.

If you have additional technical support questions we can help with, please do reach out in our WordPress.org forums — we use this pre-sales forum to answer questions about the purchasing the premium plugins, but we do offer support for The Events Calendar on WordPress.org. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Joe, great question!

Yes, Events Calendar PRO does include a Map View of the calendar that allows you to display events in a map format. Here’s a solid example of that in action:

    http://wpshindig.com/events/map/

Does that fit what you’re looking for? Let me know if you have any follow-up questions about Map View and I’d be happy to help as best I can. 🙂

    Hi Khanh,

Thanks a ton–I really appreciate the heads up on this!

I’ve added this to our system so we have it on record down the road. Unfortunately, we’re unable to ensure or build integration with every WordPress plugin but I’ve definitely put this on the radar for future consideration.

    Cheers and thanks again!

Hi Alicia, thanks for following up!

Can you clarify a bit more what you mean that the just the RSVP option shows? Are you referring to the option in the editor or that only the RSVP shows up on the event when published?

The next thing I would like to try here is creating a fresh test site — this will avoid any disruption to your live site and ensure that we’ve effectively got a “clean canvas” to work with.

    • Please install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory (if you have a CPanel-type hosting account there will probably be a one-click install script to make this really easy)
    • Don’t install anything except The Events Calendar (4.2.7), Events Calendar PRO (4.2.6), Event Tickets (4.2.7), Event Tickets Plus (4.2.7.1) and WooCommerce (2.6.4).
    • Please also stick to the default WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme — again, there’s no need to install anything else just yet!
    • Create a new event with tickets so we have some test data to work with
    • Can you replicate the same problem?

If you find you can replicate the problem under these conditions it would be awesome if you could stop and let us know so we can take a look while the site is still running under default conditions.

    Thanks for your help!

Hey Michael, thanks for following up!

    Here’s the transient manager:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/transients-manager/

While I haven’t tried it, there is an online tool that will convert ICS to CSV. Otherwise, you can open the ICS file in a spreadsheet application (like Microsoft Excel), then do a Save As to CSV.

Once you’ve converted the file, I would recommend comparing it to the example files in this post to ensure the formatting is correct prior to import.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the extra info, Alicia! This is super helpful. 🙂

Just out of curiosity, what happens when you deactivate the Avada theme and activate the default WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme instead? In fact, if you could follow all the steps listed here, that would help rule out the possibility of conflicts with other plugins as well.

Let’s give that a try and see what we find.

    Thanks!

My pleasure! Sorry again for not having something that fits the exact scenario but I appreciate you following up and I do hope the recommendations at least provide solid workarounds.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread but definitely let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

Cheers and have a great day!

Hi Don, I see one of the past replies in this thread was marked as the correct answer. I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please do let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help — definitely with less muddling on my end. 🙂

Cheers and have a great day!

Hi Drake and welcome to the forums!

I’d love to help here — but first, can you confirm that the theme you’re using has customized versions of the calendar template? You can check that by opening up the theme folder and looking for a sub-folder called tribe-events.

The reason I ask is because the layout in the screenshots you provided looks much different than the default layout of the calendar that ships with The Events Calendar. Here’s an example of the default layout.

We do have a tutorial that provides a snippet for relocating the ticket for to other parts of the event:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-rsvp-ticket-forms/

That should work with a default layout, but I am not so sure with a custom layout. Hopefully the snippet works but, if not, then I would recommend reaching out to the theme author since they will be much more familiar with the code customizations and provide guidance for how to further customize them.

    Cheers!

    Hi Peter,

Wow, that is quite a feat! I love hearing that there are still 1.x installs out in the wild and knowing that they’re still functional after all these years is fantastic.

The transition between versions should be fairly smooth. To be sure, I would recommend updating single versions at a time. For example:

    • 1.6.5
    • 2.0
    • 3.0
    • 3.12 (this was a major release and worth installing on it’s own)
    • 4.0
    • 4.2.7 (latest)

The entire history of releases can be found on WordPress.org:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/

We also have step-by-step instructions available for manually updating plugins. This is definitely recommended since the automatic update will jump you straight to the latest version.

Will this help you get started? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Hi Rob — nice to see you again!

Oh man, that can be a pain for sure. You are correct though that the change in settings only applies to events created after the change and that is by design.

I do think the only way around it is to recreate the events that were created before the change.

However, there may be a few workarounds here and, while I haven’t personally tested these, you might consider giving them a try:

    • Clearing the transients on your site. Transients are little notes of information WordPress hangs onto when told to and it’s possible that the calendar is storing one for those events. There is a handy free plugin available for managing and clearing transients.
    • Changing the URL of the events. Changing the URL of a recurring event can have an effect of “refreshing” the information contained in them. It might be a stretch here, but certainly worth considering.
    • Exporting then reimporting the events. You could try exporting the events in a CSV spreadsheet file format then using the calendar’s built-in CSV importer to re-import the events.

Sorry for the bad news, but hopefully one of these workarounds will at least get the ball rolling.

    Cheers,

    Hi Rebecca,

Thanks so much for getting in touch! I’m so glad that you’re using The Events Calendar for your organization and even more excited to hear you’ve been looking into the nonprofit program. That’s awesome.

I’m afraid that only Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus are the only two products that are eligible for the program. However, once you are approved into the program, it also includes a discount on the rest of the plugins we offer. So, even though Filter Bar is not available free-of-charge, you can certainly still pick it up at a hefty discount.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!
    Geoff
