MemberHey David and sorry for the trouble here! Server 500 errors are always a pain and definitely can be scary at first glance.
Often, a Server 500 error is the result of not enough memory being allocated to PHP on the server. In other words, a request is being made but the server does not have enough power to respond to it.
As a first course of action, will you please follow the steps outlined in this blog post? I turn to it every time this issue pops up on any of my projects and it usually does the trick.
Let’s start there and see what we find.
Thanks!

ParticipantThank you for the response. We first checked the htaccess and upped the memory to 512mb. Cleared all caches and updated all 12 plug ins on the site.
We cannot create a post with a ticket. If we try to “Publish” we get the Internal 500 error but if you go to woocommerce/products the ticket items are being created. If you click the ticket product it says it is related to the correct event. But if you try to see the ticket product OR if you try and view the post that has the ticket it breaks.
If you go to edit the post the ticket part of the editor is broken, in fact nothing displays under that part.
If you view the post it shows nothing. By the way we did try adding a new post without a ticket and that worked fine. It was only when we created a ticket on the post and tried to publish the post.
Parsing through our logs, I see this error from that plugin
PHP Fatal error: Class ‘Tribe__Events__Main’ not found in /nas/content/live/outatthemovies/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/Tribe/Commerce/WooCommerce/Main.php on line 1975, referer: http://outatthemovie…ew.php?wp-post-new-reload=trueSeptember 12, 2016 at 3:16 pm #1163035Geoff
MemberThanks for following up, David!
I’ve been trying to see if I can get the same error on my end, but no luck so far. The next thing I would like to try here is creating a fresh test site – this will avoid any disruption to your live site and ensure that we’ve effectively got a “clean canvas” to work with.
- Please install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory (if you have a CPanel-type hosting account there will probably be a one-click install script to make this really easy)
- Don’t install anything except Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus
- Please also stick to a default WordPress theme (ideally Twenty Sixteen) — again, there’s no need to install anything else just yet!
- Try creating tickets on a page or post
- Can you replicate the same problem?
If you find you can replicate the problem under these conditions it would be awesome if you could stop and let us know so we can take a look while the site is still running under default conditions.
Thanks for your help!

ParticipantOK we created a copy of the site on our staging server. We disabled all 12 plug ins. Then activated the EVents Calendar, Events Tickets and Woo commerce. We bought the PLUS to work with Woo commerce.
If we try to create a woo commerce ticket by creating a new post, then using the tool to create a ticket but when we hit publish we get the “PHP Fatal error: Class ‘Tribe__Events__Main’ not found in /nas/content/live/outatthemovies/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/Tribe/Commerce/WooCommerce/Main.php on line 1975”
Next we created an RSVP ticket on a post – http://outatthemovies.staging.wpengine.com/test-08/ But there is no way to “order” the ticket. You can choose one but there is no order button.
So at this point we can create free tickets that no one can order. If we create tickets to purchase using the woo commerce (we love woo and thought this would work with woo) we get that fatal error. I would be happy to provide an admin log in if that helps but where would I send it to you?

MemberThanks so much, David!
It appears that the test site is still using a non-default WordPress theme. Would you be willing to deactivate Divi in favor of WordPress Twenty Sixteen instead and trying to create tickets again? Sorry for the trouble, but this will help ensure we are both testing from the same default place together.
Once you’ve deactivated Divi and activated Twenty Sixteen, please head over to Events > Settings > Help, copy the system information at the bottom of the screen and paste it here for me as a private reply — that will help me match my site’s settings to yours.
Thanks!
