MemberMy pleasure! Sorry for the trouble but I do hope that the Theme Fusion folks will be able to help provide additional guidance from here.
I do want to let you know that our system automatically closes threads after three weeks of inactivity. If that happens and you have additional questions, please do feel free to open a new thread and we can keep the conversation going there. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberSide note, we’ve only been using this on our website for most of the week and it’s received a lot unsolicited praise on campus.
That is really awesome! I certainly appreciate the kind words — it’s feedback like this that everyone here on the team strives for and seeing it validates the work we do, so thanks!
I’ll go ahead and close this thread, but definitely keep us posted if you come across questions or have comments about the plugins and we’d be happy to help.
Also, we value the fine art of QA around here and, though we recently filled a couple of open spots on the team for it, please do watch our careers page — we’re always on the prowl for folks with a fine eye for detail. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey @zardoz, thanks for following up and I hope you had a great weekend. 🙂
Yes, Event Aggregator will eventually (though not immediately) replace iCal Importer. We plan to keep iCal Importer around for a little while longer as Event Aggregator ramps up. They both will offer the ability to import events from an ICS feed or file, though Event Aggregator will offer other import options as well, including Facebook and Meetup.
Did you have any other questions about either iCal Importer or Event Aggregator. Let me know and I’d be happy to help!

MemberHey and thanks for following up — happy Friday! 🙂
It’s just a matter of the feature having not been built into Community Events. It’s certainly possible to accomplish, but would take a fair amount of development and is something that we would need to prioritize alongside other features that are already in the works. That’s why it would be super awesome if you could share it in the feature request forum — in fact, it would be even better to add your vote to this request.
Did you have any other questions about the possibility of adding coordinates to the Community Events form? Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution or workaround for you here but I’d be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,

MemberI’m assuming that the gravatar is picked up from within the user account, so if this was modified using something like the WP User Avatar plugin that it would show those images?
I just gave that a try (great idea!) but it does not appear to do the trick. I believe that Event Tickets Plus looks specifically for the Gravatar image and bypasses any customization that WP User Avatar tries to add in. It’s possible that another plugin might do the trick, but it did not appear to in this case, I’m afraid.
Any other questions about displaying attendees? Definitely let me know and I’m happy to help as best I can!

MemberHi Alicia and thanks for following up!
It’s honestly very tough for us to troubleshoot something without first figuring out what the issue is and that’s what I was hoping to do by running a test site.
If you are unable to do a test site, will you please:
- Deactivate your theme
- Activate the WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme
- Deactivate all plugins, except for the following: The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO, Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, and WooCommerce
- Create a new event and publish it
- Add a ticket to the event with the following settings (screenshot)
- Re-save the event
- View the event — do you see the ticket?
- If not, please navigate to Events > Settings > Help, copy the system information at the bottom of the screen and paste it here for me as a private reply. Please also include a screenshot of the ticket settings in the event editor and a link to the test event.
- It would be extra helpful if you could leave the site in this condition while we diagnose the issue together. Since we’re entering the weekend, please feel free to wait until Monday so there is less interruption to your site.
This will help us narrow down whether where the issue is and figure out what next steps to take from there.
Thanks!

MemberHey Joseph,
Man, these are awesome notes! Seriously. I love that you’re not only digging into the accessibility of our plugins but willing to help us keep it on our radar as well.
The truth is that we are working on a number of accessibility improvements. In fact, one of our developers is tasked with auditing our code for opportunities and has noted the exact same things you have, such as the view switch for the calendar.
As you may know, The Events Calendar has been around for a number of years and it definitely was not initially developed with accessibility in mind, though improvements have been made along the way. It will definitely take us some time to get where we want, but do know that we are working on incremental changes in our maintenance releases and planning larger improvements in our future feature releases. In other words, stay tuned, because we’re on a journey here and you will indeed see the results, even if it’s one small piece at a time.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions here about our accessibility plans and I’d be happy to help as best I can. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey Dave!
Sorry for the trouble here getting the beta up and running. I’m stoked to hear you’re giving it a test drive though because we’re really excited about it. 🙂
The release candidate does require you to deactivate and remove the existing versions of any of our plugins. So, for example, you will want to deactivate all the calendar plugins, delete, then install the RC versions one-by-one, most likely in this order:
- The Events Calendar
- Events Calendar PRO
- …then any others
Please give that a try and, if you’re still running into trouble, it would be awesome if you could post it over on our beta forum so we can continue the conversation over there. We’re trying to keep all feedback and issues related to the RC there instead of here where we only support official releases.
Thanks a ton and I hope this helps!

MemberHi Katja,
I just replied to your other that requested a refund on Events Calendar PRO. Again, sorry to hear it’s not what you’re looking for on your project!
You absolutely do not need to purchase Events Calendar PRO in order to use Filter Bar and Community Events. All three plugins offer different functionality to extend what The Events Calendar can do and are sold separately so that you can choose which features you want to add rather than having to purchase everything.
For reference, here are the difference between each plugin:
- Events Calendar PRO: Adds premium features to The Events Calendar, including additional calendar views, shortcodes, custom fields, pages for Venues and Organizers, default content display settings, integration with the WordPress Customizer and recurring events.
- Filter Bar: Adds an additional navigation bar (customizable to be either horizontal or vertical) to The Events Calendar that allows site visitors to narrow the search results of events by a number of variables including, category, tag, location, time of day, and price.
- Community Events: Adds a submission form to The Events Calendar that allows your visitors to submit events to the calendar without needing to access the WordPress admin.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Katja,
So sorry to hear that Events Calendar PRO isn’t a good fit for your project just yet. I’ve gone ahead and submitted the refund for your order and the funds should be back in your account in the next 5-10 business days.
If you would be willing to elaborate on the features you are looking for, I would be happy to link this ticket to any related development tickets we are working on so that we can follow up with you when they are released.
Cheers!

MemberHi Thomas and happy Friday!
Good question. Events Calendar PRO actually includes the ability to create custom fields for events. In other words, that would allow you to set up a custom field to display a link to the event registration from the event post.
Will that do the trick for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!
GeoffGeoff
MemberHello @zardoz,
Not at all. iCal Importer is compatible with The Events Calendar and does not require Events Calendar PRO in order to work.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers,

MemberHi Darshan,
Thanks for getting in touch!
I’d love to help you out — but first, will you please log into your account so we can continue this conversation in our technical support forums? We use this pre-sales channel to answer questions about purchasing our plugins and provide technical support for license holders in our premium support forum. I will go ahead and move this thread there.
If you do not happen to have a license, you are totally welcome to post over on our WordPress.org forum. We do a support pass there once a week and would be happy to help you there on our next pass.
In the meantime, you might find the suggestion in this thread helpful:
