Hi Drake, thanks for following up!

    …because we have a folder called “tribe-events”.

That’s helpful because it actually means you are indeed using custom templates. In fact, if you notice in the screenshot you provided, there is a template in the folder called single-event.php which is a customized version of the template we are talking about.

My hunch is that the snippet in the tutorial I provided is not working because the theme is using a customized version of the calendar template.

For that reason, would you be willing to reach out to the theme developer? They will have a much better idea of what was customized in the templates and be able to help make additional modifications to move the ticket form to where you would like it to be displayed.

And, of course, I’m happy to leave this thread open in the meantime in case any questions come up in the process that I can help answer from our end. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi Nancy, hope you’re having a great day so far!

My question is how can I get 2-3 events per day with one photo each in the month view?

I do think it is possible, but would take custom development to make it happen. You could use the snippet in the tutorial I provided as a starting point but, ultimately, I believe it will take more custom lifting to get each event in a particular day in Month View to display images. Neither The Events Calendar nor Events Calendar PRO support that functionality right out of the box.

Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

Hey Nancy, thanks for following up!

I actually do not think you need any of our premium plugins to get what you’re looking for. The Events Calendar is free and includes the Month View right out of the box.

What you’re looking for is to display the featured image for each event in Month View. That is possible with The Events Calendar but will take a little custom development on your part.

In fact, we have a tutorial that to help get you started!

    I hope this helps!

Awesome, glad to hear you’re using Filter Bar!

Yeah, there is no filter specifically for a date range. However, the calendar’s search field does have an “Events from” filed, though I know that’s not exactly what you’re looking for.

Filter Bar has a few additional variables to filter by time of day, if that helps.

Hi Justin, thanks for getting in touch!

It looks like your calendar is located here:

    https://greenwood.church/?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=month

If you would like to have it direct to /events instead, then I would recommend turning on pretty permalinks for your site. More on that here:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Introduction_to_Blogging#Pretty_Permalinks

Once pretty permalinks have been enabled, you will be able to locate your calendar’s RSS feed at:

    https://greenwood.church/events/feed

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

Hey there, and thanks for reaching out!

Great question. If you’re able to contain all of your event in CSV format, then The Events Calendar has a way to import everything in at once by uploading the file. That’s by far the easiest way, if it’s available to you.

We also have iCal Importer, which will import events from another calendar that has either an ICS file or feed to pull from. That would be another way to go about it. This will soon be replaced by a new product called Event Aggregator, but will certainly get you through the migration process in the meantime.

But to directly answer your question, it is certainly possible to migrate one site database into another — but I do think that would take a consider amount of work to ensure that all the database tables are matched accordingly.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for getting in touch and I hope you had a great weekend. 🙂

Good question. If you head to Events > Settings > Display, you should be able to change the template the calendar uses to one of the theme templates (screenshot). That should allow you to mirror the calendar template after one of the theme’s.

We are indeed working on being able to drop full calendar views into any page or post using shortcodes and plan to have that out in our next major release of Events Calendar PRO, version 4.3.

Did you have any pre-sales questions I can help answer? Please let me know and I’d be happy to. 🙂

    Hey there!

    (Love the avatar– that’s awesome.)

You can absolutely use Filter Bar on The Events Calendar. Events Calendar PRO is not required at all. 🙂

Did you have any other questions about Filter Bar that I can help answer? Let me know and I’d be happy to!

Hi Victor — thanks for writing in and I hope you had a great weekend!

Excellent question. It is possible to create another set of tickets at another price point that goes on sale at a specific date. That would allow you to set up a condition where one set of tickets goes off sale at one price where another set of tickets goes on sale at another price. I’ve used this personally to set up an Early Bird-priced ticket at a discount that expires on the same date that another higher-priced ticket goes on sale.

If you’re looking for something more automated and will be using WooCommerce as the ecommerce plugin, then you might consider the Dynamic Pricing extension for it. I think it’s mostly based on user roles, though, rather than time-based pricing. Still, could be worth checking out.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

in reply to: Does Your Calendar Allow a Photo for Multiple Events Each Day? #1168821

    Hi Nancy,

    Thanks for writing in!

You’re absolutely correct: the Month View of the calendar does not display images directly in the calendar, though it will show the featured image for an event if a user hovers their cursor over the event (screenshot).

The Events Calendar also includes what we call List View and that does display the featured image for each event in the list of events (screenshot).

If you want more of a photo-based calendar layout, then Events Calendar PRO offers something called Photo View. That makes the featured image for events the central focus of the view (screenshot).

If you’re looking to add more than one image per event per day, then I think that would be possible with some custom development. For example you could add the Advanced Custom Fields plugin and create a custom field for events that allow you to upload more images to each event. And, then, you can customize the calendar template to display all the images that have been uploaded, using the Advanced Custom Fields documentation and our Themer’s Guide for reference.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Marlene,

We do have the following filters for featured image, but I’m afraid that none of them does a specific check for whether an event has a featured image.

What you might be able to do is use the WordPress has_post_thumbnail() hook to check for an image and then use the calendar’s hooks from there? The featured image for events uses the same functions as default WordPress posts, so that should give you something to work with.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread since I see it was marked Resolved, but let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help as best we can.

    Cheers!
