GuestI use Eventbrite for registrations already and would like to consider your calendar, however, I need to post a photo for each event, for multiple events each day. Your sample calendar does not have photos. Can someone please contact me if you have what I need? Thanks!

GuestP.S. I did just find a page that says a photo can be posted for up to one event per day. I really need more. Is there anyway this can be done as a custom job? Someone who knows about this stuff (I don’t) says it needs a tweak to a Css? Does this mean anything to you?

MemberHi Nancy,
Thanks for writing in!
You’re absolutely correct: the Month View of the calendar does not display images directly in the calendar, though it will show the featured image for an event if a user hovers their cursor over the event (screenshot).
The Events Calendar also includes what we call List View and that does display the featured image for each event in the list of events (screenshot).
If you want more of a photo-based calendar layout, then Events Calendar PRO offers something called Photo View. That makes the featured image for events the central focus of the view (screenshot).
If you’re looking to add more than one image per event per day, then I think that would be possible with some custom development. For example you could add the Advanced Custom Fields plugin and create a custom field for events that allow you to upload more images to each event. And, then, you can customize the calendar template to display all the images that have been uploaded, using the Advanced Custom Fields documentation and our Themer’s Guide for reference.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

GuestThis is the page we are trying to approximate. We like the monthly view with 2-3 events in each box. We also want it to integrate with Eventbrite so we are not double posting every event (about 12 per week). Thanks!

GuestHi Geoff,
Thanks for your quick response by email! I replied to your “no reply” address at first. Ooops Shows you how tech savvy I am.
I just need one photo each for 2-3 events
per day on some of the days. We sell painting classes, so each class needs
the photo of the painting to be taught. Will Events Calendar Pro do that,
and does it also integrate to Eventbrite like the Events Calendar does? Can it be formatted into a standard calendar with boxes? How do I see a mock-up before I pay?
Thanks!

MemberHey Nancy, thanks for following up!
I actually do not think you need any of our premium plugins to get what you’re looking for. The Events Calendar is free and includes the Month View right out of the box.
What you’re looking for is to display the featured image for each event in Month View. That is possible with The Events Calendar but will take a little custom development on your part.
In fact, we have a tutorial that to help get you started!

I hope this helps!

GuestHi again Geoff,
Thank you for your response. My question is how can I get 2-3 events per day with one photo each in the month view? On the link you set, it says, “If there’s more than one event per day, only the title is displayed (without images) to prevent crowding the calendar.”
The calendar I currently use from another source does this and it does not look crowded, but it does not integrate with Eventbrite like hours does. So, that is why I was asking about the Pro (If it allows me to do what the free Events Calendar does not).
Thank you,
Nancy

MemberHi Nancy, hope you’re having a great day so far!
My question is how can I get 2-3 events per day with one photo each in the month view?
I do think it is possible, but would take custom development to make it happen. You could use the snippet in the tutorial I provided as a starting point but, ultimately, I believe it will take more custom lifting to get each event in a particular day in Month View to display images. Neither The Events Calendar nor Events Calendar PRO support that functionality right out of the box.
Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,

GuestHi Geoff,
I am interested in the custom development for that functionality (I’m sure other future customers of yours would benefit from it as well). Can you give me a quote?
Thanks, Nancy
