MemberHey Jason,
Great question, man — I know I would want to know the exact same thing before dropping cash like that too. ๐
We test all our products back to PHP 5.2 but recommend 7+ since that’s the latest and what we are prioritizing on an ongoing basis. That said, you should also be fine with 5.6.
As far as how what the max execution times and PHP memory limits are set to are really more a matter for the type of hosting you’re on and how much data is stored on your site. For example, I’ve been able to store up to a couple thousand events without having to make any modifications at all, but I can see it being necessary if there are other plugins and scheduled actions that take up additional memory.
One thingย you might find handy as you work with lots of data is the Query Monitor plugin. This will help pinpoint queries that are potentially bogging down a server and act as a starting point for debugging with support teams like ours, or others as well.

Yes, Event Aggregator will absolutely import the photo for an event from Facebook in addition to the event data. ๐

MemberHi Azer and thanks for getting in touch!
Absolutely — any events that you import from Facebook into The Events Calendar can have tickets added to them for sale.
I would suggest checking out our new Event Aggregator plugin. It allows you to import events straight from Facebook on both a one-time and ongoing basis, in addition to being able to import from other sources as well.
Then, once events have been imported, you will need both Event Tickets (free) and Event Tickets Plus in order to add tickets to those events.
Does this help answer your question and sound like what you’re looking for? Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions for how anything works and I’d be happy to help. ๐

MemberHi Harold,
Great question! As long as that site has an active iCal file or URL, or allows you to download a CSV file of the events, then yes, Event Aggregator will absolutely be able to import the events into The Events Calendar.
If, however, the site does not have any of those options, then Event Aggregator will be unable to find and pull the data.

MemberHi Rachel,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Excellent question — Events Calendar PRO does not offer a specific option to add link below the “Find out more” link.
That said, it’s totally possible to do that in The Events Calendar without Events Calendar PRO. It does require a bit of custom development on your end, but can happen using a template override.
The process for creating a template override is thoroughly detailed in our Themer’s Guide, but it basically boils down to this:
- Make a copy of the template you want to customize
- Make a new folder in your theme folder calledย tribe-events.ย Other folders may need to be added inside this one, depending on the template being customized.
- Move the copied template file to that folder
- Edit the template code and those changes will be reflected
Hopefully this helps you get started!ย Let me know if you have any other pre-sales questions about our product features and I’d be happy to help as best I can.
Cheers!

MemberGreat question, Ali!
I am afraid that Event Tickets Plus does not include any designed widgets for selling tickets. Tickets will only be embedded into the event, page or post they are created for at the moment.
Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHi Michael, thanks for getting in touch!
There is no companion check-in app for Event Tickets Plus — any QR code scanner that is connected to the internet will work. ๐

MemberHi Paul,
Great question!
Yes, The Events Calendar is completely flexible to customize and modify the templates to suit your needs.
For example, you can use custom CSS to change the size, appearance or layout of the calendar. We have a tutorial that offers tips and tricks for locating the calendar’s CSS classes for the purposes of customizing them:
It’s also possible to completely override any of the calendar template files for more advanced customizations. For example, you can take the template for the List View you mentioned and override it in your theme folder so that you can change the markup however you see fit. We have step-by-step instructions for template overrides here in our Themer’s Guide:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
This sort of customization does take a little bit of development on your end and I know that coding isn’t for everyone. We also have a list of recommended freelancers who might be willing to lend a hand if that’s a level of service you would be interested in:

MemberHi Guido,
Thanks for writing in!
I’m not sure that our products are the best fit for you. The Events Calendar is great for creating events and displaying them in a calendar format, but not-so-great at booking appointments, especially for recurring events.
For example, Events Calendar PRO adds recurring event functionality to The Events Calendar and Event Tickets Plus (alongside Event Tickets) allows you to create and sell tickets for the events, but Event Tickets Plus currently does not support selling tickets for recurring events. It’s a limitation we’re aware of and working on, but is not currently available at this time.
If you’re looking for calendar plugins that are more suited for booking appointments, you might want consider the following:
Here’s a link to a search of WordPress appointment plugins that might also help you find another solution.
Sorry our plugins aren’t the best fit, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHello Brent and thanks for getting in touch! I’m stoked to hear you’re considering adding Events Calendar PRO to your site and I hope it’s a great fit. ๐
Events Calendar PRO does include a feature that allows you to customize the color scheme of the calendar using the WordPress Customizer. I’m not exactly sure if that’s what you’re looking for with color codes, but here is more detailed information on how that works:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-color-customizer/
And,ย to answer your second question:
I would like to know if there is a limit to the amount of keys I use if I purchase the pro version
The Personal level license of Events Calendar PRO will provide provide you with a license key that allows you to register the plugin on one site. If you want to be able to enter the license key on more sites, we also offer the Business level license for up to three sites, the Agency level for up to 10 sites and an Unlimited level to enter the license on as many sites as you would like.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!
