MemberHi Rob,
You might be interested in checking out our free Advanced Post Manager plugin. It allows you to create custom saved filters for posts in the WordPress admin, including grouping all events in the same category, which is what the Related Events feature is based on:

MemberHi Rob,
Nice to see you again and hope you had a great weekend!
There are actually a number of WordPress plugins that enable post duplications. I used this one the other day and it seems to do the trick quite well.
Cheers!

MemberHi Math,
Good question and the answer is: no, not at all. When you enable the ability for people to add images to their event submissions in Community Events, it does not upload the image file to your site, but is a link to the image file itself. In other words, the image never lives on your server and therefore will have no effect on the back-end performance of your site.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers,

MemberHi Eric,
Excellent question. We do all of our default QA testing using PHP7 and, while there are indeed known issues that we are working on in the plugin as a whole, none of them are PHP7-specific or would prevent you from using the plugin with PHP7 installed.
That said, we are big fans of testing everything in a safe staging environment when making any significant server or plugin update and would recommend you do so when updating PHP to ensure the calendar–among any other plugin, theme or component being used–responds well to it.

MemberHello Sally,
Great question, though I am afraid that Community Events does not include a shortcode option to display the form in a way that limits submissions to UK-specific counties. That’s a good idea though!
Also, this is the view from my events list – hardly readable – what can I do to change this? Can I delete sections easily which aren’t needed?
Absolutely! If you clock the “Screen Options” button at the top and right of the screen (screenshot), then that will allow you to set which columns you want to display and hide the rest.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers,

MemberHi Nick,
Happy Monday and I hope you had a great weekend!
Good question. The Events Calendar is very developer-friendly in the sense that you can override any of the view templates that come with the plugin with your own customized code and layout. We have a full overview of how template overrides work in our Themer’s Guide.
That said, the plugin definitely does not look the same as the example you provided right out of the box and it will take a fair amount of custom development for you to create the same layout. It is certainly possible though!
We have a number of customizing resources to help get you started:

Thanks!

MemberHi Linda,
Yes, you can specify which calendar to import from Google Calendar using Event Aggregator. Each Google Calendar has it’s own unique URL that can be used to import that specific calendar.

MemberHeck yeah, that’s awesome! Thanks for following up to let me know.
Cheers and I hope you had a great weekend. 🙂

MemberAwesome, so glad to hear that worked!
1. I couldn’t find the translation for the string: “Calendar of Events” in the po file.
I do not believe that string is actually coming from The Events Calendar but is the page title coming from somewhere else. The reason I think that is because the same string does not appear on my test site and also does not seem to exist when I look in the plugin’s translation files.
Would you be willing to open a new thread for that in our if that is not the case and we can look into that more with you?
2. When the tooltip is opened on the right side the tooltip show only part of it. I think in that case the tooltip should be opened to the left side.
This looks like a layout conflict with the theme, but you can add something like this to your style.css file or by using the Simple Custom CSS plugin:
#top .main_color .tribe-events-tooltip { left: -150px; }Here’s a screenshot of how that looks when I tested it out.
Will that work for you as well? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey Christopher, happy Monday and I hope you had a great weekend. 🙂
Do we need to purchase all these add-ons twice or ist it enough to have the first add-ons on xyz.com and just the Event Aggregator on abc.com?
Good question! It is possible to only have Event Aggregator on one site and the rest of the plugins on the other.
However, if you are importing recurring events, then you will want to have Events Calendar PRO on both sites since it is required in order for The Events Calendar to support them.
Also, I do want to note that Event Aggregator will not import tickets from one site to another. That means you will want to have Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus installed on both sites as well. Once an event has been imported to site abc.com, you can use the Tools > Export option to export the ticket data on site xyz.com and then use the Tools > Import option to import the data on site abc.com.
On the other hand, if we moved the management to abc.com and only display the events on xyz.com, could we move the add-ons from one site to another if not needed any more on xyz.com?
Absolutely. You can move plugins from one site to another and that would absolutely remove the need for having the plugins on both sites. You can also move your license keys for the plugins from one site to another and we have a guide on how to do that.
Does this help? Please let me know!

MemberHey Jimi — hope you had a great weekend!
Absolutely, we offer a full refund on all products (including bundles) within 30 days of purchase. That should give you plenty of time to give things a try. Hopefully it runs exactly the way you need. If it doesn’t however, we would be happy to help as best we can here in the forums and you are certainly welcome to return the products for a full refund within the 30-day window.
Did you have any other questions I can help you with before purchasing?
Cheers!

MemberHey @wegoecono — hope you had a great weekend!
Excellent follow-up question. I’m afraid that Event Tickets does not include a setting to notify an admin (or a specific admin for that matter) when someone has RSVP’d for an event.
It’s actually a feature request we have on our long-term roadmap.
Someone actually created a workaround plugin that might help though: https://github.com/thebeard/-INACTIVE-events-calendar-pro-organizer-mail

MemberAh gotcha — thanks for clarifying, Simon!
Yes, it is definitely possible to create different “streams” of events and display them much the same way as the example you provided.
The only difference is that we call these “widgets” and they can be embedded on any page or post of your site.
You will need Events Calendar PRO to make it happen, but it includes a number of widget types. One of those is called the Advanced List Widget and it allows you to embed a list of upcoming events and filter the list by a specific category.
So, for example, you can place multiple widgets on your page, one for each category or group of categories you use to filter the widgets.
Here is a guide that provides a full overview of how Event Calendar PRO’s advanced list widget works, including a rundown of all the available settings:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-list-widget/
And here is another guide that provides information for how to embed the widget on any page or post:

Does sound like what you’re looking for? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers,
GeoffGeoff
MemberExcellent, thanks for confirming that!
Will you please try:
- Removing the shortcode form that page
- Heading to Events > Settings
- Changing the “Events URL slug” option to /events (screenshot)
- Saving your settings
Then, visit your calendar at http://tevaclub.co.il/events in Month View to see if the tooltip work.
Thanks!

MemberSure thing, happy to help!
Regarding the buyer to seller communication: do you think it would be possible to create a dynamic contact form on the event page itself
I do think so, but it might not be as dynamic as you’d like. For example, you could use Gravity Forms to create the forms themselves (one for each organizer) and then embed them into the events as they are created.
The biggest issue there, to me, is that there is no easy way to associate the contact form submission to the event in question. In other words, the data picked up by the form will be captured in WordPress, but there’s no out-of-the-box way to link those submission to the events they are related to. Might not be a deal-breaker, but thought I’d note the limitation.
Is it possible for a buyer to submit reviews/ratings of an event after they have attended?
I do think this would also be possible, but again, would require the use of a third-party plugin to accomplish. There are a number of plugins that add a voting feature to posts, the trick being to find one that works with custom post types. Here’s a search that might help get that going.
Cheers!
