    Hi,

It is October of 2016 and I can’t find a definitive on The Events Calendar Pro and PHP7. I am upgrading my LAMP stack, and I want to go to PHP7 but I need this product to work.

Can you tell me if at this point I should have any concerns with PHP7? I’ve installed this plugin in the past and have had great success. I would hate to do without it.

    Regards,

    Eric

    Hi Eric,

Excellent question. We do all of our default QA testing using PHP7 and, while there are indeed known issues that we are working on in the plugin as a whole, none of them are PHP7-specific or would prevent you from using the plugin with PHP7 installed.

That said, we are big fans of testing everything in a safe staging environment when making any significant server or plugin update and would recommend you do so when updating PHP to ensure the calendar–among any other plugin, theme or component being used–responds well to it.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
