MemberHi, Michelle. I tried filtering by Category and it worked.
However, I did see console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
You should make sure your Google Maps API key is setup correctly (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/).
There was another console error that appeared after using Filter Bar about mixed content. https://managewp.com/blog/wordpress-ssl-settings-and-how-to-resolve-mixed-content-warnings may be of some help resolving that.
Let me know if you are still experiencing any errors when using Filter Bar.

MemberHi, Pat. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
You posted in our Pre-Sales forum from a user account that doesn’t have any purchases associated with it (or accidentally if you forgot to login first).
If you don’t have a paid account login, I’m afraid we’re not equipped to provide technical support for current plugin users here in our Pre-Sales Forum. If you’re using one of our free plugins, such as The Events Calendar or Event Tickets, you can request assistance on their respective WordPres.org Support Forums (we do not provide technical support for users there, either–only via our paid forums).
This isn’t currently a confirmed issue so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Thank you for your understanding and thank you for using our plugins.
April 11, 2018 at 9:19 pm in reply to: Plugin conflict still exists — please re-open thread #1505069Cliff
MemberHi. Sorry that other thread didn’t get the attention we said it would.
Looking at this afresh, please note that we do not debug conflicts with other plugins, per our Scope of Support / Terms.
Additionally, to set this up for testing on my own localhost, I’d guess it’d take quite a bit of setup.
If the issue is regarding post sort ordering, you might look into the essb_wp_query_args filter.
If that doesn’t work for you, one of Events Calendar PRO’s pre_get_posts filters may be at play here.

MemberHi, Tana. Thanks for your detailed report.
This is coming from the Select2 script. We have it on our to-do list to update to the latest version, which is actually SelectWoo (https://github.com/woocommerce/selectWoo), and they have https://woocommerce.github.io/selectWoo/accessibility-testing/
Please note, however, that this is a very large effort that hasn’t yet been scheduled.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberHi, Julie.
This sounds odd but is hopefully easily resolved by logging into your site’s cPanel or FTP.
Navigate to yoursite/wp-content/plugins and see if there’s a plugin folder name of “the-events-calendar” — delete that and reinstall it via the wp-admin interface.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.
Please let me know how this goes for you.

MemberHi. Hopefully this information will help:

Also, if you want to send a copy of tickets to yourself, you could reference this snippet (read its comments before deciding how to implement it):

MemberThanks for that added context. I pinged our development team and am hopeful this can be resolved within our next release or two (of course no guarantees).
I marked this thread as Pending Fix, which means it should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.
A workaround for now might be to actually change our plugin’s code itself — usually not recommended but in this case largely unavoidable and hopefully not to have to be completed over and over for forthcoming updates that don’t include this fix.
You could copy that plugin’s copy of datatables js and replace ours with it: /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/vendor/datatables/media/js
This isn’t supported so if it doesn’t go well you’ll need to wait for the release. Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.
Cliff
MemberSo it sounds like you do mean to have a free RSVP ticket but do not want to display free. You found two threads — each offers a different way to accomplish this customization (one is a PHP snippet and one is a CSS snippet).
Using our plugins in a customized way isn’t considered a bug, but our product is designed to be highly extensible.
Did you try either of those customization snippets (either the PHP or CSS)?
Please reference https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/implementing-custom-code-snippets/ for how to implement custom code snippets.
Cliff
MemberChris, they were able to replicate some of the reported behavior and have logged a ticket with their findings.
