You are correct that this is now a logged bug internally. However, just because this bug exists in the latest version doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still update because it may be months before a fix is released (we do not provide ETAs).

Also, other bugs were fixed from the version you’re on to the current version.

I apologize for this bug existing in the code, but we always recommend using the latest released version.

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic prior to an update post about this fix being released.

    Thanks, Oliver.

I added the relevant notes in the bug ticket. Once the fix is released, a follow-up comment will be added here.

I had a developer take a closer look. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

    Hi, William.

I’m glad you clarified because there actually is a Shortcake plugin that deals with shortcodes: https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcode-ui/

/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/default-template.php is the original file. In the current version of that file, it tells you where to put your override file: [your-active-theme]/tribe-events/default-template.php

Is this where you’ve put your file?

Hi, Jason. Thanks for your interest in using our plugin suite for another project.

For your first question, I’d point out that our Event TicketsEvent Tickets Plus plugin(s) do not work with PRO’s recurring events functionality. Additionally, the tickets are not reusable; they’d need to be recreated for each event even if they’re identical. For example, if you have a ballet performance on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you’d have to create 3 separate events and re-create the tickets for each event. You couldn’t create the tickets for Friday and then copy those tickets and their settings over to Saturday’s and Sunday’s events.

I’m unclear about your second question; maybe you’re asking how to set defaults to speed things up when creating an event or a ticket? If yes, this wouldn’t be accomplished via a child theme. However, if I’m misunderstanding your question, I’d suggest you review our Themer’s Guide for child theme-related how-to’s.

Your last question sounds like it would be a customization, for which we do not provide support, per our Scope of Support / Terms. It may be able to be accomplished via our Themer’s Guide.

If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

    Hi, Young Mi.

Did you possibly try creating this event on Monday? Something we’ve seen before:

    • On a Monday, you select recurring > weekly > it auto-selects Mondays as the repeating day
    • vs.
    • On a Monday, you change the event start date to tomorrow (a Tuesday), then you select recurring > weekly > it auto-selects Tuesdays as the repeating day

This is the same way Google Calendar’s interface works as well, for example.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Also, please make sure to update to the latest versions of all our plugins.

    Hi, Olga.

We do not have anything to do with those integrations. I’d suggest you contact each of those plugins’ support channels.

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help here.

Have a great rest of your week.

Hi, Monty. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

I do not know of any “/all” link that would be on your site other than PRO’s recurring events have an “/all” link for each recurrence series — but nothing at the site-wide level or the all events level.

Please let me know where around your site these links are linked from.

Hi, Jennifer. I visited and couldn’t replicate this issue. Here’s a GIF of my testing your site: https://cl.ly/3J1Y45461B1R

Could you please try another browser?

Also, please screenshot your http://supportdetails.com/ information for each browser you are experiencing this issue with.

We do not provide support for Avada’s integration with our plugins. Did you contact their support?

Hi, Stephen. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

I wasn’t able to replicate this conflict with Jetpack v5.1, The Events Calendar v4.5.9, Events Calendar PRO v4.4.15

Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.

If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).

Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.

You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)

Let us know what you find out. If you still experience the issue, please provide try to deactivate Jetpack modules and see if you can figure out one of those settings as the source of the conflict.

    Thanks.

PK, thanks for your detailed report.

Here’s a screenshot of the console error I was able to reproduce for Password-Protected events (but not Private events): https://cl.ly/0J2Q44273i00

I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.

I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

Charles, this is the outstanding issue… please be patient as we work out the Event Aggregator issues.

This thread will receive an update once Event Aggregator releases a fix.

Again, I apologize for the inconveniences this bug causes.

    Done!

I issued you an Image Widget Plus Business-level license (since you had 2 sites registered for Event Aggregator) and just set it up for a year:

If you’ve got any other questions, feel free to create a new forum thread.

    Thanks! 🙂
