MemberCould you share your system information as a private reply? You can find this at the bottom of the Events → Settings → Help screen 🙂
Barry
MemberOK – I can fully understand your deleting the duplicates – but sometimes it can be useful for us to take a look at them in case some clue to the problem presents itself.
In this case, especially since you haven’t had any additional duplicates just yet, let’s hold tight and see if the problem repeats.

MemberHi Benjamin,
We try hard to stick to one issue per question.
This helps us to serve all users quickly and fairly – it also helps to keep individual support topics focused and on track 🙂
With that in mind, please post your second question in a new topic and one of the team will be only too happy to assist further.
Thanks!

MemberHi!
It sounds like our CSV importer would be a great way for you to get this data into The Events Calendar and preserve those relationships. You can read more about it here:
theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-the-events-calendars-csv-importer
Does that help?

MemberHi Oskartt,
The amount of support we can provide for customizations – particularly with something like a completely new, custom-built view – is unfortunately rather limited.
That said, perhaps this information on using taxonomy parameterss within queries would be useful to you?
Please also note that posting code directly in the forum can be problematic. If possible, please use a service like Gist or Pastebin to host your code/snippets and just share the links here 🙂
Thanks!

MemberHi Benjamin,
Just check the “set as private reply” box when you post and you can share things confidentially (this isn’t possible in the opening post, but you can do it with all subsequent replies that you might make) 🙂
One thing that jumps out at me is that you have two submission buttons, both with the same name attribute. Can you try removing one of them?
Barry
MemberHi James,
What happens if you remove that snippet? Are the events still out of order, or do you find they are suddenly ordered correctly (albeit not in the direction you would like)?
In my own testing I don’t see the same thing as you are here, which makes me wonder if something else might be at play.
Do you have any other customizations in place and have you been able to replicate the same problem with only The Events Calendar, Filter Bar, a default theme and this particular snippet?
Barry
MemberHi James,
When The Events Calendar detects that the main query specifically relates to events a number of things happen in order to help better shape the query and present the results.
For instance – unless dictated by other query properties – an assumption is made that only upcoming events should be returned. Generally, when dealing with events, this is a sensible default.
Additionally – though your particular theme may force the use of a different template – the empty search results will be presented within an event view.
I’m curious: what are your goals here? Do you need an event-specific search that covers all events, past and present? Are you wanting these results to show within a standard WordPress search results page?
Barry
MemberHi Shah,
While I’m sure that is possible via a number of channels it’s a fairly involved customization and while we might be able to help with more specific questions it’s really beyond the scope of support offered here to walk you through something like this.
It sounds like perhaps you need/are actively looking for someone who can assist you, though, and I wonder if you have checked out some of the many freelance marketplaces where you can find suitable skilled developers?

MemberHi Eric,
You could add some code like this to an appropriate location (including your theme’s functions.php file):
https://gist.github.com/barryhughes/5125014d9c27bc0da7b2
Note that this sets the number of events to show per page in map view to 100, but as indicated in the comments you can change this to -1 if you truly want there to be no limit whatsoever (but doing so may pose a performance risk, depending on how many events you are fielding!).
I hope that helps 🙂
Barry
MemberHi James,
I’m sorry to hear that: this definitely shouldn’t happen (one of the things the importer does is check to see if the unique Facebook ID associated with each event is already on the system) but it’s always possible something has gone wrong.
Can you point me to some of the imported duplicates and to the source event(s) on Facebook itself?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Susan,
Event Rocket should allow you to adjust the actual coordinates, yes.
And also when are you expecting the fix for the maps in the event calendar pro?
Well, it’s not a “fix” so much as a further enhancement – and while I don’t expect it to be too far off I’m afraid we don’t generally commit to any specific or even approximate dates for things like the arrival of new features.
Barry
MemberThanks!
I don’t actually see anything amiss there, but it was worth a shot.
This problem is doubly strange because not only am I unable to replicate the issue but, with as popular a plugin as Gravity Forms, I’d have expected something of a mini surge in posts from other users if this was a general bug.
While not wanting to “pass the buck”, I wonder if you might reach out to Gravity Forms in case their team have any thoughts on this?
