ParticipantHi,
I have just purchase the calendar pro, and have listed all our events all seems to work normally except for the map location. How can I edit this to make it in the correct location.
Look forward to hearing from you.

MemberHi Susan,
I’m sorry to hear you’ve hit up against some difficulties.
Can you provide a specific example of the problem you are facing here? Can you also confirm – by private reply if you prefer – if there is a URL where I can see this (I realize you provided a URL when you opened the topic initially, but it appears not to resolve correctly).
Thanks!

ParticipantHi,
The page to see is here: http://e-table.asia/event/bbq-buffet-at-bimi-beach-club/2015-05-05/
the map marker is showing in the wrong area even though the address is correct according to postal address. Is there any way we can set the marker ourselves? Or enter the lattitude and longitude of the area.

MemberSo it’s using the coordinates rather than the street address, and those coordinates have been determined as:
8°04'14.8"N 98°19'50.7"E
If that’s incorrect it may be that you need to modify the address slightly and re-save the venue, however – unless you’ve made modifications to the default behaviour of the plugin – those coordinates would have been provided by Google’s geolocation API.
Can you try making some other forms of the street address in the first instance and see if by playing with it you can get any closer?

ParticipantHi,
I tried changing the address to what google map is showing us, it gets closer but still incorrect. Is there no way of just putting the co-ordinates?
Best regards,
Susan

MemberAt present, I am afraid to say there is not unless you install and activate a third party plugin such as Event Rocket (which you are welcome to use, but is not officially supported here).
That might tide you over for a while – ultimately we hope that the same sort of functionality will be incorporated in one of our official Events Calendar PRO releases, though 🙂

ParticipantHi,
And would this event rocket allow the map to be correct?
And also when are you expecting the fix for the maps in the event calendar pro?
Best REgards,
Susan

MemberHi Susan,
Event Rocket should allow you to adjust the actual coordinates, yes.
And also when are you expecting the fix for the maps in the event calendar pro?
Well, it’s not a “fix” so much as a further enhancement – and while I don’t expect it to be too far off I’m afraid we don’t generally commit to any specific or even approximate dates for things like the arrival of new features.
