MemberHi Eva,
That makes sense (and we actually have a bug report about this, so a fix should arrive and allow you to take advantage of escaping within date formats in an upcoming release) š

MemberGlad it worked š
As a side note, please avoid using private replies unless you are sharing confidential information/URLs that you prefer not to share publicly — otherwise, topics become very confusing for other users researching them in the future š
Can you tell me where front_end_tickets_form( ā ) is defined so I can get in and create another one that is formatted differently for the Events list?
We’d caution against modifying plugin code, since doing so can cause issues when you next update (amongst other things). If you want to view the source, though, simply open up:
wootickets/classes/class-wootickets.php
You can find the definition starting at line 473 (in our current release).

MemberHi Amanda,
Great observation!
There is indeed a bug (relating to the HTML before/after event content facility, which that snippet takes advantage of) and I’ll log an issue so we can squash it in a future release.
With that in mind, yes – you would need to use the default events template setting or else take an alternative approach (like a template override).
Thanks š

May 25, 2015 at 8:56 am in reply to: is there a feature list comparing events calendar vs. events calendar pro #964824Barry
MemberHi eve lurie,
Thanks for contacting us!
it is not clear the difference between pro and free version of events calendar. Iād love to see a feature compare.
We actually have a comparison table – please just visit this page and scroll down to see it š
Along those same lines, It looks like ticketing and booking are added with addons.
That’s correct.
If you wish to sell tickets then our ticketing addons are going to be required – we support most of the major ecommerce engines for WordPress, as well as Eventbrite, so we’ve probably got something that will meet your needs here.
filter list for specific searches on event types, locations, venue, date/time and region
Perhaps our Filter Bar add on would meet your needs here, if the base capabilities provided by The Events Calendar itself don’t provide everything you need.
Colored events for different days or regions
All kinds of customization are possible and there are also some great third party plugins that could be useful for things like this – check out this category colors plugin for example:
Charge a new member for membership at registration for those who will be posting events.
This isn’t currently possible “out of the box” – but we are looking at ways to implement this for our Community Events plugin. That said, you could certainly take Community Events and build a custom solution on top of it.
I hope that answers your questions but please do let me know if I can help with anything else!

MemberHi rtandoh,
That’s a great idea – and we’d definitely be open to exploring it.
The best way to suggest a new feature (since this isn’t currently available – unless you are using default or “ugly” permalinks) is to post your request on our UserVoice page.
This has the added benefit of letting other users comment on and up-vote your idea š

MemberHi Jonathan,
Great question!
You can find out more about safely overriding and customizing our templates by reading through our Themer’s Guide.
In this particular case you would probably need to revise the wootickets/tickets.php template – you can then have everything display on one line, if that makes sense for you (of course if you begin adding multiple tickets per event this may make less sense).
I hope that helps š

MemberHi Jeremy,
On taking a look at your site this morning I noticed the tooltip issue appears to have been resolved – can you confirm that’s the case (I’d love to hear what steps you took if so)!
Also, how would I go about displaying the start & end date in the tooltip inline?
There are some fairly comprehensive instructions included within the month/single-event.php template – following the steps described there is going to be the best way forward, here.
If you do have any follow up questions on this specific issue of customizing the tooltip, though, it would be awesome if you could break them out into a fresh topic – as we do have a policy of sticking to one issue per topic.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Susan,
That’s an interesting observation, I wasn’t aware of that.
We do have a policy of sticking to one customer and one problem per support topic, though, so could I ask you to post your question in a new topic of your own?
If you could also include a few URLs demonstrating the problem that would be fantastic.
Thanks!

MemberOne more question! … do you have the admin toolbar visible at the top of the screen and is there an Events menu complete with an Import submenu?
Is Eventbrite also missing from that submenu?
