ParticipantSorry if there is an obvious answer, but I thought it best to ask y’all the best way to add a disclaimer to the event community submission page. I’m thinking a short paragraph above the “Submit Event” button but it doesn’t really matter where it is, as long as it’s on the community submission page (and not other pages). Is there an easy way to do this?
Thanks,
Benjamin

MemberHi Benjamin!
One approach would be a snippet like this one (edit to fit your exact needs!) which you could add to your theme’s functions.php file:
https://gist.github.com/barryhughes/6131754ac622e27f84fa
Alternatively, you could follow the steps outlined in our Themer’s Guide and then override and customize the community/edit-event.php template, adding your custom message wherever you feel is appropriate 🙂
Do either of those help here?

ParticipantPlease be advised: I inserted this into my site and it only works if the Default Event Template is selected as the Event Template under Basic Template Settings in Display Settings.

MemberHi Amanda,
Great observation!
There is indeed a bug (relating to the HTML before/after event content facility, which that snippet takes advantage of) and I’ll log an issue so we can squash it in a future release.
With that in mind, yes – you would need to use the default events template setting or else take an alternative approach (like a template override).
Thanks 🙂
