MemberI don’t recall anything exactly like this. What theme are you using and have you been able to reach out to the author? It’s certainly atypical enough that I suspect the theme code may be doing something unorthodox.

MemberHi!
Sounds like you’re getting close, but I suspect you missed a step.
When you run through this process you should see a string of letters and numbers called the Auth URL within the Events → Settings → Eventbrite screen – it’s very important you don’t forget to use this per the following instructions:
When configuring your application, make sure to set the OAuth Redirect URI on Eventbrite to the value above.
That’s to say, you need to need to copy and paste it into the relevant field over on eventbrite.com when seeking authorization.
Does that help?

MemberIt is unlikely we would change the actual name of our post meta keys unless there was a really compelling reason.
Deactivating the plugins means I canβt see the page content.
That’s odd. If you switch to a default, unmodified theme (such as Twenty Fourteen) and keep only The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO activated, you should still be able to see your event data.
Would it be possible to try that again (since it looks like you are using a dev site) and let me know when you’ve done it so I can take a peek?

MemberHi Torben,
I’m sorry to hear you are hitting up against difficulties.
Did this problem suddenly start for no apparent reason – or did it follow a settings change, plugin update or anything of that nature?
Might it be one of your plugins (I see you have some security and SEO-related items) is implementing redirects and something has gone wrong there?
Our standard troubleshooting steps definitely seem worthwhile in this case.
Let me know how you get on π

MemberHi jocwebsites,
I’m sorry to hear you have experienced difficulties after updating.
If you remove all widget related template overrides from your theme, does it work as expected then?
Barry
MemberHi Victoria,
I definitely see some problems when I visit your test event.
I’m curious, might these be the result of customizations, or even a conflict with your theme/some other plugin? Would you be able to run through our standard testing steps in an effort to detect the source of any such conflict?
Thanks – and let me know how you get on π

MemberOK, in that case unfortunately there may not be much I can do at this point.
Do you have any other examples of the problem you can share the URLs for, or else are you able to replicate this (with a “test event”)?
Barry
MemberHi Marty,
Absolutely – that makes a lot of sense.
Feedback like this is extremely valuable to us and we can accept that for a number of users, developers and their clients the approach taken in this release cycle may not have been optimal.
All I can really say is this: know that we’re listening and have taken your feedback on board — the team is quite literally talking through this very subject right as I write this reply.
In case you have any further thoughts I’ll leave this topic open for your further replies.

MemberNo problem!

MemberHi again Jessie,
Something interesting I notice is that while the event shows as “Password Protected” in the management screen, it is still showing as “Public” in the edit screen – no password is actually set and nor does the event become inaccessible to browsing customers.
While there still seems to be a problem, I’m curious if you’re experiencing the same or something other than this?
Thanks!

MemberJessie,
Thanks first of all for taking the time to detail the problem with screenshots, that was very helpful and I’m sorry it took so long to get a grasp on the issue.
At any rate, I can now replicate the problem and this is of course something we’re going to have to fix up as soon as possible. I’ll update you again shortly.

MemberHi there!
It’s certainly something where there are a few options you could explore.
If you can’t bend WooCommerce Follow Up Emails to your will, perhaps you could build a customization on top of WooCommerce and its order notes facility?
I’m afraid we can’t go in to too much depth for custom development tasks like this, but do let me know if you have any more specific questions that might help clarify how any of the code on our side works π
Barry
MemberHi Renee,
By default, no other shortcodes are currently available (except for [tribe_mini_calendar] which you’re already aware of).
We will be adding more – which map to the advanced list, featured venue and countdown widgets, but they won’t be available until version 3.10 is released π
Does that clarify things?
