GuestHello
We are considering moving our site to WordPress and need an event solution.
I have a couple of questions:
1)
Currently, we can plug-in the event ID from Facebook into the corresponding event on our website and it will:* Display the number of “I’m going” attendees from Facebook
– but only if there are 5 or more people going
* Display the number of “Maybe” responses from FacebookCan your plugin do this?
2)
With Events Calendar Pro, does that come with Facebook functionality or is that a separate purchase?3)
We would probably like to sync events between our website and Facebook on an ad-hoc basis, rather than publish every event to Facebook or vice-versa
– can we publish some but not all of our website events to Facebook?
– can we pull in some but not all of the events from Facebook to our website?Thank you

MemberHi Adam,
Thanks for your interest!
Facebook Events is a straightforward, robust and reliable solution – however by default it does not render the number of “I’m going” or “maybe” responses.
That said, this could certainly be accomplished as a further customization 🙂
Also, to clarify, Events Calendar PRO is a separate plugin with different capabilities – it does not encompass Facebook Events.
can we publish some but not all of our website events to Facebook?
First and foremost our plugin acts as an importer – it will not let you push or publish event information from your WordPress site back to Facebook itself.
can we pull in some but not all of the events from Facebook to our website?
You certainly can – you can choose specific events to import from a specific Facebook page or indeed enter Facebook event IDs on an ad hoc basis.
Does that answer your questions? Remember also to check out our New User Primer, which gives a great sense of how it all clicks together.

GuestHi Barry
Thank you for your response.

Can you please explain that? Who would do the customization and how much would it cost, thank you.

MemberHi Adam!
Customizations primarily need to be driven forward by you, though we’re always happy to help via the support forums and point users to the relevant documentation or even provide some snippets where appropriate.
In terms of cost, it’s really hard to say. The best bet is to seek out a dev who is familiar not only with WordPress and our plugins but the Facebook API, too, since something like you’ve outlined would be a relative snap for such an individual 🙂
