I updated the Plugin and now I’ve lost the EventBrite widget. Before that I could create the event, it would show in EventBrite but no tickets had been created so I had to create them manually for each event.

Need this sorting fast please.
June 9, 2015 at 7:31 pm #968345BarryMemberHi northwest,
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve hit up against difficulties.
- When you refer to the Eventbrite “widget”, what do you mean exactly – the ticket form that appears on single event pages?
- Can you link me to an example of an affected event (that is, the single event URL)?
- Would you be able to share your system information by private reply? This can be found at the bottom of the Events → Help screen
Thanks!
June 10, 2015 at 5:12 am #968384northwestParticipantHi, when I create an event on my site I used to be able to create the event in Eventbrite via a widget that sat on the “create event” page in WordPress. That is no longer there since updating both the Eventbrite plugin and yours. I raised this with Eventbrite who said that the problem lies with you and directed me here.
I can’t really show you what I mean because the problem is that something simply isn’t there any more, if you see what I mean.
I’d be happy to share with you but I don’t understand what page you are referring to?
June 10, 2015 at 5:39 am #968390BarryMemberThat’s ok, I think I see what you mean now (in that it is an element of the event editor which is missing). Just so I’m certain, is the following representative of what you are expecting to see?
Are the other expected fields showing above this, such as the start and end date fields? Also, as requested, can you share your system information?
June 10, 2015 at 5:50 am #968395northwestParticipantHi, yes that Eventbrite branded element of the page is what has disappeared for me. The start/end date fields show OK
I will happily share system information I just don’t know what Events/Help screen you are referring to?
June 10, 2015 at 8:44 am #968466BarryMemberHi! Sorry for not being clearer – if you login to the dashboard/admin environment you should see the Events group within the menu bar that normally displays on the left of the screen.
Within this, you should see a link to the Help screen, something like this:
If you follow that link you should be able to reach the help screen for The Events Calendar. Near the bottom of this screen you should be able to find the system information 🙂
Does that help?

UTCJune 10, 2015 at 12:23 pm #968546BarryMemberThanks, that’s appreciated.
So on inspecting your system information it looks like you may have forgotten to follow the setup instructions for Eventbrite Tickets.
Before we go any further can I ask you to review the following post and follow the outlined steps, particularly the section on configuring Eventbrite Tickets?
- theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-eventbrite-tickets
- theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-eb-tickets
Let me know how you get on 🙂
June 15, 2015 at 9:44 am #969503northwestParticipantHi thanks for the reply. I followed the instructions and got as far as the final step the “get Authorization” button and eventbrite gives me a blank page saying”resource not found”
Any clues?
June 15, 2015 at 11:36 am #969519BarryMemberHi!
Sounds like you’re getting close, but I suspect you missed a step.
When you run through this process you should see a string of letters and numbers called the Auth URL within the Events → Settings → Eventbrite screen – it’s very important you don’t forget to use this per the following instructions:
When configuring your application, make sure to set the OAuth Redirect URI on Eventbrite to the value above.
That’s to say, you need to need to copy and paste it into the relevant field over on eventbrite.com when seeking authorization.
Does that help?
June 15, 2015 at 11:41 am #969523northwestParticipantI got an email from Eventbrite saying the API key is approved and active and I am clicking the “Authorise” button on Eventbrite, so pretty sure everything is good this end.
June 15, 2015 at 11:59 am #969530northwestParticipantJust opened Eventbrite in a new tab to check and it says there is no application key associated with the account.
June 15, 2015 at 1:18 pm #969588BarryMemberIf you don’t have any keys listed under Account → Developer → App Management (over on eventbrite.com) then something has probably gone wrong! Is that what you are experiencing?
Can you confirm that you copied and pasted the oAuth URL across when you ran through the setup procedures?
June 15, 2015 at 1:35 pm #969602northwestParticipantYes, pasted it and Eventbrite sent me an email saying the API key was active. When I go to allow it to access my Eventbrite account it says “resource not found”
June 15, 2015 at 1:41 pm #969604northwestParticipantOK, so now I get this error message when I try to allow the app to access my eventbrite account
“The application you’re trying to use has made an invalid request to Eventbrite. Please contact the application developer.” -
