ParticipantUsing Event Calendar Pro – there seems to be some overlap between Event Calendar Venues and the venues I have in another unrelated custom field. Events show up fine in list and month view but, when in detail veiw, the venue is pulled from and unrelated custom field (also named venue). Deleting or drafting the Venue in the other field has no impact on the calendar – it still shows up. Urgh.

ParticipantThis is the source: <h2 class=”tribe-events-single-event-title summary entry-title”>12_07 Balmy Beach Canoe Club</h2>
IU have no clue why it is pulling the Venue Name (12_07 Balmy Beach Canoe Club) from a different area of the site.

ParticipantAlso, the current date and time (ie: today, June 14th, 10:58pm) is showing up in the detail view! Agh.

MemberHi Victoria,
I definitely see some problems when I visit your test event.
I’m curious, might these be the result of customizations, or even a conflict with your theme/some other plugin? Would you be able to run through our standard testing steps in an effort to detect the source of any such conflict?
Thanks – and let me know how you get on π

ParticipantHI Barry,
Deactivating the plugins means I can’t see the page content. Is it possible to change venue_name in vent Calendar to something else?

ParticipantThe issue dispappears when Custom Post Type UI is deactivated. Any thoughts on the conflict?

MemberIt is unlikely we would change the actual name of our post meta keys unless there was a really compelling reason.

That’s odd. If you switch to a default, unmodified theme (such as Twenty Fourteen) and keep only The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO activated, you should still be able to see your event data.
Would it be possible to try that again (since it looks like you are using a dev site) and let me know when you’ve done it so I can take a peek?

ParticipantI switched to twenty fifteen and the issue disappeared but so did everything lovely π
It’s definitely an issue within custom post types – have you experienced this conflict before?June 15, 2015 at 11:40 am #969522Barry
MemberI don’t recall anything exactly like this. What theme are you using and have you been able to reach out to the author? It’s certainly atypical enough that I suspect the theme code may be doing something unorthodox.
