We’ve been also testing different methods and you can find our findings and progress in this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/ea-fb-privacy-policy/

The above method was also included in that article before, however we found that it is not working in a reliable manner. So that might work, but might not.

Let me know how your test goes.

    Hi Luke,

I apologize, I didn’t realize you are using WooCommerce. In this case of course you don’t need to set up PayPal in Tribe Commerce, since you are using payment gateways in Woo.

So far I haven’t been able to reproduce your issue with a basic setup.

Please go through our conflict testing guide and see if that brings anything to surface. My hunch is that one of the plugins you are using (which might be doing something on the back-end post editing screen) is conflicting somehow.

You can also try opening the console of your browser (F12 or Ctrl +Shift + I) and check what comes up there when you load the edit event page and when you click the button. Might give us some clue. Please make a screenshot of that and share with me.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

Hi, just wrote you an email to notify you. Hope to hear from you soon.

    Please read my above reply.

Also, can you please provide me with the details of the Event in New Jersey that is now showing up? What is the address? Can you also share a URL to the event?

When you go and edit the New Jersey venue and you check the box for longitude / latitude, do you have those fields filled in or are they empty?

Do you maybe see a notification in your admin area that some venues are missing geolocation data? If yes, please follow that link to fix it.

Looking forward to picking up the strings.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Thanks for the clarification.

For the sake of the example let’s say the current month is May.

If you are looking at the month view in May and you run a search, then only the May month will show up with the results (plus the couple 1-2 days before and after to fill the rows). It is not possible to show May and June and July months together. At least not out of the box.

I guess with some major custom development that would be possible, but that is beyond the scope of our support.

If that is the feature you are looking for then I can share with you a list of freelance developers who might be able to help you out.

However, in list view this works as you described. The filtering / search will give you results from the coming months.

If after running a search in month view in May and you only want the May month (and the 1-2 extra days before and after) to show up, that is what you get.

It makes no sense for someone to search for something in the future only to be told that it doesn’t exist, even if it does.

You are absolutely right about that. How the month view works is that when you run a search the search runs in the selected month.

Does this clarify? I hope I didn’t misunderstand your question again, that would be embarrassing. πŸ™‚ Let me know.

    Hey Jonah,

Thanks for reporting back to us on that one! Stoked to hear you have managed to get that fixed.

I will paste the solution here as well, so users who have the same issue see the solution:

Problem: if I select the list, month or today view in a language different than English, I get a 404 error message.

Solution: – Go to WPML -> String Translation – Select the “the-events-calendar” domain – Search for the “list” string and set the “Exact match” option – Please edit only the string starting with lowercase character (eg. “list” and not “List”) – Overwrite the existing translations with “list”. – Save – Verify and correct also the “month” and “today” strings

    Hey Scott,

    Thanks for posting here.

Do I understand correctly that you can go to next month in the month view when you are using a WiFi connection (or cabled), but when you are on mobile network, then you cannot?

Do you get an error message? Maybe is there an error in the web dev tools console of your browser?

What device are you using, a PC or a mobile / tablet?

    Thanks,

    Andras

    Hey Luke, whazzup,

    Thanks for reaching out!

To be able to add tickets you will first need to set up your PayPal connection. Once that’s done the add ticket button will be available.

Here’s an article detailing all that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/tribe-commerce-paypal/

Let me know how that works out!

    Hi Heather, welcome back!

Good timing! We have just released a fix for this bug yesterday. πŸ™‚

Please update and check if the fix works as intended and please get back to me in the other thread. I will close this one to keep things clean.

    Hi Chete,

    Thanks for your question!

If I understand correctly you would like to collect a fee if someone posts an event through community events.

That is not possible with our plugins out of the box. You might be able to set up some kind of a registration / subscription model with WooCommerce and an addon for your site and handle it that, but that is beyond the scope of our plugins.

With Community Tickets there was an option to do “split payments”, meaning if the organizer is also selling tickets, then part of the fee goes to the organizer, part of it to you. However this required PayPal’s adaptive payments API, which they are no longer supporting. Probably there will be a new solution for this which we are also planning to implement to get this functionality back, but at the moment we don’t yet know when that is going to happen.

Does this answer your question? Let me know if you have anything else in mind.

    Cheers,
    Andras
