ParticipantHi,
I just bought your plugin and I am using it to list upcoming game releases. It’s not optimal for this but is the best option I could find. All seems to work well except for one thing. On the events page I have listed events in photo view. The pictures are displayed correctly with a 16:9 ratio. But the widget is displaying small squares in a 4:3 ration. It doesnt look good on my page and the pictures are cut off.
Is there anyway I can change this? I have attached to show you what your plugin looks like compared to another events plugin I have been using.
Thank you

KeymasterHi Daniel,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂
Well, you could change the thumbnail size called in the Single Event Template for Widgets. To edit this file, here is how to proceed:
- copy the template file in plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php
- override the template in your own theme by creating a file at [your-theme]/tribe-events/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php
You may want to read our Themer’s Guide to learn more about templates customization.
I hope this helps,
Cheers,

ParticipantHi and thank you for the reply.
This solution seem to require me to have knowledge of php and coding which I dont have so that would be a no go for me unfortunately.

ParticipantI think this plugin is using the standard thumbnail size set by wordpress? Is this correct? Because it seems to display the thumbnail the same size as the thumbnails on my post page and I’ve been trying to change the dimensions of the thumbnails from 4:3 to 16:9 which is the dimension of all my uploaded featured images.

KeymasterHi danniee,
Thanks for reaching out! Jeremy is out this week so I’m jumping in to help out.
Please note that we only provide support during work days as stated in our support policy. Our brains need a break over the weekend. 🙂
Also please note that we are limited in supporting customizations, they are beyond the scope of support we can provide.
We can provide you with some assistance and point you in the right direction, but you will need to do the heavy lifting and most of the coding yourself.
I might be able to help you further, for this I would need the following:
- please share with me your system information in a private reply
- what theme are you using?
- can you share a url where I can take a look at this?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi,
Thank you for finally getting back to me. I decided to uninstall the plugin as it was too complicated to get it to work the way I wanted. €100 down the drain, but it is what it is.
All the best

KeymasterHi Daniel,
Sorry to hear our plugin didn’t meet your needs. That happens sometimes.
Regarding “down the drain”, we do have a 30-day money back policy. I see your purchase is quite recent, so let me know if you would like a refund.
Cheers,

ParticipantYes please, I would be greatful for that. Sorry I said “down the drain”, didnt really mean it like that. You have a good plugin, just not what I was looking for.
