ParticipantI recently have purchased the tickets pro. I am unable to create “New Tickets” within an event. I click it, the page refreshes, but nothing happens. I am running the current version of all plugins and core… what gives?

KeymasterHey Luke, whazzup,
Thanks for reaching out!
To be able to add tickets you will first need to set up your PayPal connection. Once that’s done the add ticket button will be available.
Here’s an article detailing all that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/tribe-commerce-paypal/
Let me know how that works out!
Cheers,

ParticipantI have to use PayPal or am I able to use one of the other 3 services (authorize.NET, Stripe, etc)? And, so you are aware, the “add ticket” button is showing, but when I click it to create a ticket within an event, it simply refreshes the page without creating a ticket. This is happening also on a different website that I am using this premium plugin on, so I know that it’s not environment specific. I am pretty sure that I’ve ready that there is a bug with this version of the Ticket Plus, but I was unable to find further comments. Really need to get this fixed.

KeymasterHi Luke,
I apologize, I didn’t realize you are using WooCommerce. In this case of course you don’t need to set up PayPal in Tribe Commerce, since you are using payment gateways in Woo.
So far I haven’t been able to reproduce your issue with a basic setup.
Please go through our conflict testing guide and see if that brings anything to surface. My hunch is that one of the plugins you are using (which might be doing something on the back-end post editing screen) is conflicting somehow.
You can also try opening the console of your browser (F12 or Ctrl +Shift + I) and check what comes up there when you load the edit event page and when you click the button. Might give us some clue. Please make a screenshot of that and share with me.
Thanks and cheers,

ParticipantAndras,
I went through a staging site and followed all protocol (deactivated all plug-ins,etc). I wasn’t able to make this work, oddly, I rolledback to 4.5.7 and it worked, but anything after doesn’t work (again, you click “New Ticket” and it simply refreshes the page without showing a new ticket to enter information for).
I was unable to open a console on Mac Safari, is that correct?
I did find that I was also having this issue: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/version-4-7-causing-cpts-with-status-pending-review-are-visible-in-the-loop/ Could it be related?

ParticipantAndras,
I stand corrected, it looks as though there is a theme conflict—when I switch to Twenty Seventeen the functionality works (even with all plugins active).Sorry to have wasted your time, but is there anyway that you can suggest me quickly finding the conflict to resolve?

KeymasterHey Luke,
No worries and thanks for checking with twentyseventeen. That definitely narrows it down.
I don’t think it’s the issue you referenced above.
On Safari you can open the console with Option + Cmd + J. Check if there is anything.
What is the base of your theme? Or is it developed completely from scratch? There might be something in the functions.php file or an enqueued script which can cause behavior like this.
If you have a staging site set up where the issue exists, it would be possible to play around freely without disturbing your live site.

KeymasterHi again Luke,
I just got some more information.
I see you are using WP Engine. We do have reports of a glitch with that.
WP Engine uses some kind of object caching that interferes.
Try going to WP Admin > WP Engine > General Settings > and click Purge All Caches
Check if that helps.
