    Hello harrogatenews,

Thanks for reaching out with your issue! I’m really sorry about this, let me try to help you fix this.

I see you are using a caching plugin and it looks that you are getting the mobile version of our calendar on your site versus the normal one. This usually happens when minification is turned on in the caching plugin.

As a first try switching off the caching plugin, empty your site and your browser cache and see if that solves the view issue. Possibly the strange-code issue as well.

Also note, that we are providing minified resources (js and css) with our plugins, so you can exclude those from the minification.

As for the strange codes, please switch over to a default theme like twentysixteen, and check if those codes still appear. If they are gone, then there is likely some conflict with the theme you are using.

Let me know what you find, I’ll be waiting.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Bart,

Firstly, a big thanks for using our plugins. And thanks for reaching out!

I’m really sorry you are having this performance issue. I’d be glad to help you find the cause of this.

When did the performance issues start? Was it after an update of the plugin? An update of WordPress? An update of … ?

Did you also manage to test having only the Calendar plugins activated and nothing else? Do you still have performance issues then?

How many events do you approximately have? And do you have any recurring events?

If you have recurring events, could you check if their rules are still in place or if something got mixed up with that? (1-2 similar issues have been reported.)

On the idea of separating the blog and the calendar, I believe that would only be reasonable, if you have a high traffic blog with lots (hundreds or rather thousands) of posts, custom posts, lots of customizations and whatnot. If you have a pretty simple blog with 1-2 posts a day, then separating it from the calendar will not have such an impact.

Also I see in your system information that you are using an older version of our plugins. After creating a full backup of your site run an update and check if that changes anything.

I’m looking forward to solving this with you.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Margaret,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

As a first to give you some information about our premium support, as per our policy we try to respond to every question within 24-48 hours during the week, so Monday to Friday. That is why you had to wait a bit for the first response.

I’m really sorry you bumped into an issue. I’m not quite sure why that happened as when activating the Pro plugin, the event data is not changed, it should be preserved as it was, including the timezone setting.

Please give me a bit of time so I look into this issue. I will get back to you soon.

    Thanks for your patience!

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Salut Mathieu,

I’m sorry there is still an issue.

Seems like the update was done while one of the Scheduled Imports was working and this left it stuck in the middle.

Could you try the following please: delete the current scheduled import. (Not the events, only the import.) Then set it up again and let it run.

Let me know how that turns out.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    MfG

    Hello again Rachel,

I checked around with the team and there is a solution for this. It is a bit older so it might or might not work, but it should definitely get you started on the right path.

    https://github.com/barryhughes/woot-library/wiki/Add-event-name-and-date-to-cart-page

Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.

Shadi, that is awesome! Thank you for digging so deep into that and sharing your findings with us. It is very much appreciated.

I will share this with our dev team so we can fix this.

Is there anything else related to this topic I can help you with?

    Cheers,
    Andras

Tom, thanks for sharing and clarifying this issue. I apologize, my understanding until now was that there is an issue with pulling images FROM Facebook.

Please give me some time to look into that.

    Thanks for your patience!

    Hello Rachel,

I’m sorry, I believe I misunderstood your original question.

Unfortunately we don’t have a ready solution / snippet for that and we are limited in supporting customizations, but I can point you in the right direction.

As for the email, that could be done with a template override. Here are 2 articles that should help you get started on that:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/template-overview/

You will need to create an override for this file:

    wp-content\plugins\event-tickets\src\views\tickets\email.php

    Here:

    [your-theme]/tribe-events/tickets/email.php

And you will need to print / echo out the information you need at the proper place, I’d say somewhere around like 340.

As for the cart page, give me some time to check around if anyone on the team has something for this.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hallo Hans-Gerd,

Thanks for pointing that out! Indeed, that wouldn’t work in Hungarian either. 🙂

The bug is noted, I cannot make a promise, but it is a fairly easy fix from our side, so I will try to push this fix into the next maintenance release.

If you would like I can give you detailed instructions on how you can fix it, though at the moment it is a bit lengthy. A fix is needed in the .pot file and you will need to do a minor change a couple of lines in some core files. Let us know.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Chris,

Thanks for reaching out and I’m really sorry about your issue with the selector.

First you can check if the same thing happens if you switch to a default theme like twentysixteen. If it works well with that, then most probably the theme developer will be able to help you.

It might be also worth running a full test for conflicts, maybe one of the other plugins you use interferes with it.

I hope this helps. Let me know what you find.

Also, if you will need further help from us, then please share with me your system information.

    Thanks and cheers,

    Hallo Olaf,

    Andras

    Hello jskk123,

Thanks for using our plugins and thanks for reaching out!

As a first, I would recommend reading this article as well, which is more focused on the stylesheets and custom styling.

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/stylesheets-and-page-templates/

The css files can be found in this folder:

    wp-content\plugins\events-calendar-pro\src\resources\css\

At the top of every file there is a description on how you can override them.

Let me know if this helps.

    Hi Lorraine,

I’m so happy that helped you fix it.

I know how stressful and intensive a change in the system can be and it’s very easy to slip in a copy-paste error. It also happens to me on this forum quite often as well.

I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please post a new one in the forum and we will be happy to help you out.

    Good luck with your project!

    Cheers,
    Andras
