    Hello Mark,

Thanks for using our plugins and for getting in touch!

I’m really sorry about these issues with our plugins. This looks like a lot of issues so I fully understand you are upset. With all these possibly the best course of action would be rolling back to a previous release of our plugins and wait a bit with the update until the issues are solved.

Also, setting up a staging / testing site would be recommended so that you can test plugin updates there without influencing the traffic on your live site, and only update the live site once you see that everything works as expected.

Now to the issues. I don’t fully understand your sentences due to the lack of any punctuation, but I’ll give it my best shot. If I miss something, then I’d be happy to answer that as well in a followup, once clarified.

    venues showing something missing areas

I believe this is referring to one of your screenshots. Not quite sure why this would be happening. Please check your venues in the backend (Events > Venues) and see if you have any venues in the list without a title.

also our event categories not showing loading error

We are aware of this issue and have a bugticket in our systems. Our developers will get to fixing this soon. I’ll keep you updated.

when i submit event its goes to login page your page redriect to login page

If it was working before normally without redirection it should also not redirect now. Do you possibly have any redirection plugin in place or maybe you are limiting event submission to users who are logged in? There is a setting for this under Events > Settings > Community tab > Allow anonymous submissions.

For me to be able to give you better support please share your system information with me with the next post.

Thanks and looking forward to helping you solve this.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Karoliina,

Thanks for reaching out with your questions. Wow! 🙂 Let me try to answer those for you.

I see you have already purchased Event Tickets Plus. Thank you and I hope it will work out for you.

… tickets (which would not be normal “products”) would not show up in the “Facebook shop” via the Facebook tab plugin?

The tickets which are created with Event Tickets Plus are regular WooCommerce simple products. The only difference is that they are hidden from the catalog. You can easily change this setting on the WooCommerce product page itself in the publish box. Here’s a screenshot of that.

So they should show up on your Facebook page. Unfortunately I cannot give you a 100% guarantee on this as I don’t know the Facebook Tab plugin and haven’t tested it myself, but in theory it should simply work.

can the tickets (which i guess are “products” of some sort…) be sold/advertised through my mail chimp mailing list directly?

Based on the same theory this should also work.

IF these plugins do work with event tickets plus – then what happens when I do use WPML? […] but does that mean I would then have duplicate tickets available on Facebook?

Unfortunately this is a question, which I cannot properly answer, partially because Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus doesn’t officially support WMPL yet. And I’m not quite sure how Facebook handles WooCommerce products that are in multiple languages. (Also for normal products, they are duplicated and connected.) My guess is that you need to enter a URL so Facebook can pull the products from there. If you enter the URL for the English webshop, then you will see the English products. But as said that is a guess.

I hope this helps at least a bit. If you have any follow-up questions, let me know.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello again Suzanne,

Sorry about my previous reply, I had to trash it as it wasn’t right.

I’m sorry you are having this issue. I tested this (again) and the override does work for me, when I test it with the final release of Community Events 4.5, which was released yesterday.

I’m not quite sure what is happening on your site (yet). As a first step I would recommend to update the plugins to the latest non beta / RC releases and see if that fixes the issue. Let me know if that helps.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello again,

Thanks for checking that and sharing it with me.

We are aware of this bug. A short while back (in version 4.4) we did some work on how recurring events are handled. Unfortunately not all of the recurrence rules are ported over in the correct manner. Likely this is the bug that is affecting you as well.

The current workaround would be recreating those recurring events. With some manual work it is possible to clean up the database so you have the parent events, but you will need to set up the recurrence rules for all of them from scratch.

As for a full fix, we already have a bugticket in place with high priority and a developer assigned to it. If all goes according to plan, then a fix should be released with the next maintenance release. Please bear with us.

    Cheers,
    Andras

I’m sorry to hear that Marcus.

To get a clear picture of the current status:

    • You have the latest versions of our plugins
    • You have the scheduled imports set up to run automatically every sometime
    • You have disabled the WP cron
    • You are running a cron every 15 minutes

There are 2 things which we can still try here.

If you disabled the WP cron becasue of this issue, then you can try running that again instead of the custom cronjob.

Try deleting and setting up one of the scheduled imports and check if it runs.

Please try these so we can further narrow down the source of the issue.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Fernando,

Thanks for clarifying the question further.

Short answer: yes, that is possible.

Long answer: yes, that is possible, but that will require extensive coding work. You will need to make your calendar view and create the queries that will pull the data from the database of the WordPress site. So this is not a feature of our plugins.

What would be possible is to import the events from one WordPress site to the other. But that doesn’t work with non-WordPress sites as The Events Calendar (& Co.) are WordPress plugins.

I hope this gives you a better picture. Does this answer your question? Do you have any more? I’m happy to help.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hey Nick,

Did you meanwhile update the plugins? We released new versions last week and earlier this week which should address these issues.

Also what you can try is delete your scheduled imports and set them up again, to start fresh.

    Hallo Fernando,

So if I understand correctly you need to display the events on the home page of the site.

That is possible to do in 2 different ways.

Options #1: you can set up your main events page to be your front page. You can do that under Settings > Reading in your WordPress dashboard. And under Events > Settings you will be able to select which view (month, list, day or in PRO photo, week or map view as well) you want as default. Here’s a screenshot of the WP setting.

Option #2: with Events Calendar PRO you can use short codes to put calendars on any page you like. You can read more about the shortcodes here.

I hope this answers your questions. Let me know if you have any more.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Cdlt,

Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry about this issue.

I’m not too good in French so I’ll answer you in English, I hope that’s fine.

If I understand correctly, then you get a blank page when you click the export button on the attendees page.

To get started, could you please share your system information with me?

Also, please check the following: open the console of your browser (Ctrl + Shift + I, then switch to the console tab), then re-load the attendees page and check if any errors show up. Send me a screen shot of the errors.

    Merci,

    Andras

    Hallo Hans-Gerd

The Duplicate TEC Event plugin is not developed or maintained by us, so you might want to get in touch with the developer on the .org forum page.

Just in case I will still check this with our developers if we can do something about it on our side.

    Cheers,
    Andras
