    Hello,

We just purchased a license key and applied it to the plugin that was already installed previously. There are a few things that are happening.

One: When we go to put in a date a calendar pops up, but OVER the other text on the page. So I can see the text behind the calendar making it difficult to look at and decipher.

Two: There is no option for captcha, but once I hit “Submit” it tells me I entered the captcha incorrectly. Here are all of the red flags it shows me after hitting submit. Reminder, none of this shows up as an option before hitting submit.
    Recaptcha Challenge Field is required
    Recaptcha Response Field is required
Invalid value for the Anti-Spam Check

Three: When entering the country, the state option disappears.

We did not delete the original plugin to replace as I was worried that we would lose data and already listed events. Since we’ve had this calendar, our users have experienced difficulties. I thought by updating and getting a new license key, issues would be resolved. However, this plugin is difficult to use. Please advise on how to make this plugin work properly.

We also have The Events Calendar plugin (which when I deactivate makes the page show up as an error 404) and The Events Calendar: Community Events. Are these plugins over riding or messing with the PRO plugin somehow?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hello Annemarie,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. I’m sorry you are experiencing these issues, I’d be happy to help you solve them.

To be able to give you better support, could you please share your system information with me?
Here’s a handy guide how you can do that:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

I would also recommend updating all our plugins to the latest versions to make sure they are fully compatible with each other. We have just published new releases today. (More about that here.)

For the plugins to work you will need all three for them active: The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO and The Events Calendar: Community Events. (They are all dependent on The Events Calendar, without that none of them will work.)

Once that’s done we can start looking at the issues deeper.

    Cheers,
    Andras

I’ve updated one part of the plugin, but it will not allow me to update the others saying I need a license key when I have already added a new license key.

I copy and pasted info from the help section in a private message as requested.

    Thank you,

    Annemarie

    Hello Annemarie,

Thanks for sharing your system information with me and for updating the plugins, that is a great first step on the path of solving this.

I see that you Community Events plugins is still a rather old version. I also checked your account at us and you don’t seem to have any license for the Community Events plugin, so you will need to purchase a license for that in order to be able to update it. We actually just released a new version of it yesterday. (Note, the license are not interchangeable, so you will not be able to use the Events Calendar PRO license for Community Events.)

As for the recaptcha message, you will need to enter an API key under Events > Settings > APIs tab > reCAPTCHA API Keys section. You will also find a link there where you can generate those. Without this recaptcha will not work.

Checking your site I also see some errors regarding recaptcha in the console. This error was most probably fixed in a newer release.

Usually our plugin versions work best together if they were released about the same time. If you have an older version with a newer, then you might experience glitches like this. So updating Community Events would be very much recommended, as we can only support newer versions.

Let me know when the update is done and if you are still experiencing the issues. Also, if you have any more questions, let them come.

    Cheers,
    Andras
