    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for reaching out! Even though your license expired, I can still help you out with this one. If you will need our support in the future, then I kindly ask you to renew your license. Thanks!

I checked your site and see what’s happening.

Interestingly enough the URL behind the ‘all events’ points to the proper domain. When I copy that url to a new tab, then that url is redirected to the old one. Not sure why. Do you have any redirecting plugin in place? Or in your cPanel or website management console maybe?

Maybe a caching plugin or some kind of caching enabled?

Can you share with me a current system information?

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Charul,

I apologize that you are receiving a reply only now. We are receiving an unusually high number or requests in our forums and we are trying to answer all of them as soon as we can.

I’m sorry about your QR scanning issue. I understand that your event is over by now, nonetheless I would love to help you find the source of the issue and get it fixed so this doesn’t happen in the future.

As a first I’d like to ask you to update Calendar plugins to the latest version and check if you are still experiencing the issue.

Also, if you can, try a different qr code scanner app. (What phone and app are you using?)

Looking forward to helping you fix this.

    Cheers,

    Hello Byron,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Not quite sure why the transaction fee is not showing up.

Since this involves a third party plugin (WooCommerce or an extension) we are limited in supporting that, but I can try to take a look if you give me more information about your setup.

How are you setting up your transaction fee?

Can you also share your system information with me please?

    Thanks and cheers,

I managed to take a look at https://runmdra.org/ and see what’s happening there.

Please go through our conflict testing guide to see if that brings up anything.

    Thanks!

    Hello again Kelli,

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

I have checked on my test site with the latest versions of the plugins the following:

    • month view on this month (as it loads) and click on November => all shows fine
    • month view, run a keyword search for “intro”. Only events with “intro” show up in October. I click on November => November shows up with events that have “intro” in them. So all works fine here as well.

Can you share with me some more details on what is exactly happening? What are the steps you are taking?

Also, please share your system information with me.

Thanks and I’m looking forward to helping you figure this one out.

    Cheers,

    Hi Roberto,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We have switched to using select2 for the dropdowns and I believe this change is not yet reflected in the documentation. I will try to check with the team what needs to be done to get it working and I’ll get back to you as soon as I have something. I ask for a bit of patience.

    Thanks and cheers,

    Hello Israel,

I’m sorry for the long waiting time, we are experiencing a higher than usual load in our forums. We are trying to get to every thread as fast as we can. Thanks for your patience so far.

I’m sorry about the issue  you are experiencing. Let’s try to solve this mystery.

I just ran a test with the same settings and all worked fine for me.

What payment gateway are you using?

Can you set up a regular WooCommerce product and run a test with that? Check if the inventory gets changed twice there as well.

It would also be great if you could go through our conflict testing guide. Basically what you would need to do is deactivate all plugins except for the Modern Tribe ones and WooCommerce and test if you get the same results.

I’ll be waiting to hear what you find. Looking forward to helping you fix this.

    Cheers,

    Hello Jay,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to answer your questions.

We have about 200 rides that reoccur every year. We need a method of rolling these all forward to the next year, and adjusting the dates to make them line up on the correct day of the week. For example Oct. 1 is a Sunday this year. Next year Oct. 1 is on a Monday. So all the rides would need to be adjusted by -1 days to make them fall on the correct day of the week next year.

Assuming that you would like to set up the events once, and only for the current year, then all move them forward to the next year with the proper day adjustment, then we have a plugin that could help you move the events. Please note though that this plugin is mostly intended for developers and we do not provide support for it. But it works.

The other option is updating the events one-by-one, but I understand that is very time consuming.

Or with the use of Events Calendar PRO you can set up recurring events with different recurrence rules, like monthly, weekly, yearly, custom rules. I believe this could be an option for most of the events.

I’m glad you shared the above “Oct 1” example. Since the event would move to September in the next year, the only way to set that up would be with a custom rule.

We would need a way to import the 200+ rides initially into the calendar for the initial year. We store these in a SQL database now, but could easily create a CSV file.

It is absolutely possible to import data from CSV files. The following 2 articles will give you more details on the what-and-how of it:

Provide a link to a GPS files for most of the scheduled rides

Not quite sure what you mean by GPS files, but if you enter a venue with the proper details for an event it will show a google map on the event page, plus a link to the Google Maps page itself. You can check it out here.

You also have the option to use longitude and latitude coordinates instead of address if you’d like.

We have about 15 rides that repeat every week, it would be nice to have these included with the single occurrence rides. The time for the rides change twice a year.

This could be handled with recurring events that’s a part of Events Calendar PRO.

To summarize, our basic plugin The Events Calendar can deal with the basics you need, and with some manual work you can change the event dates.

Events Calendar PRO will help you set up the recurring events for the 15 rides and for the yearly rides as well.

If you do not wish to set up the yearly rides as recurring events, then a developer plugin can help you with moving them from year to year.

I hope this answers your questions and if you have more, then let them come. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for reaching out!

PDF tickets is not part of our plugins by default. However you can use the following extension to make them available:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/view-print-download-pdf-tickets/

Hope this helps, let me know.

    Hi Anne,

Thanks for reaching out with your question. I can help you with this one.

The correct amounts are showing in the admin area

When you make a ticket sale, then does the “Available tickets” amount properly decrease on the backend? I mean this one.

That number is the remaining stock, which should decrease with every sale and that number should show on the front-end for the users as well. And also that is the number that should show up on the WooCommerce product page of the ticket in the inventory field. (Screenshot) Are they different for you?

This can be the same issue what you read about before. There is some glitch between PayPal and WooCommerce, and even when selling regular (non-ticket) WooCommerce products the stock doesn’t get adjusted. Unfortunately this is beyond our reach, it is something WooCommerce and PayPal (Braintree) need to work out.

Let me know what you find.

    Hello Sharon,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I apologize for the long waiting time, we are a bit overloaded at the moment.

I checked your site and indeed that is curious. Although I don’t have access to WPTouch Pro I can try to help you with this.

I see you have a caching plugin installed. That could very well have an influence on this. Please clear the cache and deactivate the plugin. Check if that changes anything.

What page are you showing your mobile visitors? Is it the same page as for visitors on a PC? I’m referring to this setting.

I just found out that that older extension doesn’t work, will give you a 500 error. So instead of that you can use this snippet in your functions.php file and then the above url for exporting should work.

    https://gist.github.com/andrasguseo/158de8d396cd8c6b58e149175bba995c

Let me know if this does the trick.

    Hello Dave,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The export button should export the events of the visible month. If that is not the case we have a bug there. I will investigate and let you know about this.

As for a workaround, we do have an older little extension here.

Install and activate that plugin extension. After that you should be able to use the following URL to export the events of the full year:

    http://example.com/events/?ical=1&tribe_display=year

Let me know if this helps.

    Cheers,
    Andras
