April 19, 2018 at 11:15 am in reply to: Adding html code (esp. links and formatting) to event ticket description #1511489

KeymasterHi Jami,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the ticket descriptions. I will try to help you get this sorted.
It seems that all html markup is being filtered out of that field. There’s really not a straight-forward way to change this behavior. However, I can think of two potential solutions.
You could add the links to the event page content somewhere.
You could also edit the ticket emails that people receive to include the links, though this will require some customization. If you want to pursue this, let me know and I’ll provide some resources and examples to get you going in the right direction.
Let me know if that helps, or if you have more questions.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterHi Kathleen,
The order of events on any given day is usually determined by the start time of each event. If there are multiple events starting at the same time or “all day events” then it will fallback to something like the publish date.
To change the order the events are output, you would need to modify the events loop in the single-day.php template.
In that template, the events are stored in $day[‘events’]. You would need to use PHP to read this value, reassemble as an array in the order you desire, and resave to $day just before the loop on line 32.
As to the output in the Category Colors plugin, I’m not sure how you would customize that. Since that is not a Modern Tribe plugin, we are not able to provide support for that. The solution would be similar to what I described above, though I’m not certain how to override any templates there. You could reach out to the plugin author through the WordPress.org forums however, and he may be able to help. https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar-category-colors
Let me know if that helps, or if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterHi Wendy!
We generally don’t provide product support in the pre sales forum. If you currently have a license for one of our premium plugins, you can log in with the account that is associated with that license, and ask for help in the Events Tickets forum.
Otherwise, please post you question on the WordPress.org forums. https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-tickets/
Thanks so much!

KeymasterHi Regis!
Thanks for reaching out to us. I will try to answer your questions.
RSVPs are very similar to tickets, but with no price or checkout process. You can create the RSVP right alongside your tickets, and add the questions for the information that you need to collect.
However, there isn’t a built in way to associate the RSVPs with the tickets. You will need to handle the two individually.
Let me know if this helps, or if you have any other questions.
Thanks again,

KeymasterHi Kristin!
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues installing the Events Calendar plugin. I will try to help you figure this out.
From your screenshots, it appears that you are trying to manually upload the Events Calendar plugin. This is also available in the WordPress repository. What happens if you try to install it that way? Just go to Plugins > Add New, and search for “the events calendar.”
If you still get the same error message that way, you may need to manually delete the plugin from the wp-content/plugins folder using FTP or your hosts admin panel. Then try installing through the Plugins interface again.
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
SkyApril 19, 2018 at 9:30 am in reply to: Aggregator Import from google calendar as event category #1511314Sky
KeymasterHi there!
You can read more about how the Events Calendar handles REST API endpoints here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/introduction-events-calendar-rest-api/
When creating scheduled imports in Aggregator, you can set a category for all events that come in through that feed.
You cannot pull in only events that have a certain category at the source, but you can import events based on keywords, date and location. So if the category is included in the title or description, this may work.
The setting for how far in the future events are imported is a global setting, and applies to all imports. There is not a way to set different values for individual calendars.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions about this.
Thanks,

KeymasterTim,
I apologize, I may have not expressed that very clearly. By “ahead” I meant “later.” If the events are ending at 2am, try setting this to 3 or 4am just to be sure.
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,

KeymasterHi there!
Thanks for reaching out to us. I will try to help answer your questions.
There is a setting in Events > Settings > Tickets > “Require users to log in before they purchase tickets.” However, this applies to all tickets.
You have paid tickets for both subscribers and the general public?
It would be possible to customize the template that outputs the tickets to use conditional statements to determine which ticket to show based on logged in status.
Check out our Themer’s Guide to learn more about customizing the events templates. If this is something you feel confident in pursuing, I could help point you in the right direction for the customization that you want to make.
You can also read this article on creating a “members only” calendar. Not sure if this is exactly what you’re trying to do, but it may be something to consider.

SkySky
KeymasterHi Curtis,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the event venues. I will try to help you get this sorted.
Can you share your system information in a private reply?
Also, can you try running through our Testing for Conflicts Guide to see if this could be related to a theme or plugin conflict?
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterHi Charles!
Unfortunately, the only way to delete previously imported upcoming events from your site is to do so manually. We have a feature report logged aimed to enable to option to delete events from your WordPress site once they’ve been deleted from the source. You can vote for this feature to be included in a future update by visiting our User Voice Forum.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi there!
This appears to be a duplicate of https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-not-importing-not-from-facebook/
Since your problem was solved there, I am going to close this ticket.

KeymasterHi Ceejay,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re frustrated with the support process. I will try to help with your issue.
You could create a custom template for the ticket output, and use a conditional to add your desired text in place of the actual price for that particular ticket.
Which ecommerce solution are you using? There are different templates for the various checkout platforms.
Thanks,
SkyApril 18, 2018 at 10:08 am in reply to: How to add ribbons with individual texts to our event post images?? #1510381Sky
KeymasterHi Tanja,
I’m not sure if there are any extensions for doing that within WooCommerce. However, if you are using a default Events Calendar view, you could create a custom template and add something like this.
Check out our Themer’s Guide to learn more about creating custom templates for the views in our plugins.
We are limited in the amount of support we can provide for customizations such as this, but we’d love to help you get started in the right direction.
Please let us know if you have any specific questions about the customization process.
Thanks,
