ParticipantA lot of the events on my site are happy hour deals and events at bars. If an event goes onto the next day until say 2 am (or even 4 am in Miami) the event will show up on both days. Both the day in which the event started and which it ended.
it’s even more confusing because since the calendar sees the events starting on the second day at 12 am, it puts it as the first even on the calendar. So taco Tuesday keeps showing up on Wednesday because the calendar is registering it to start on midnight.
How do I make the event only show on the day which it started? and never on the second day which it passed over to? I can’t be the first one to have had a problem with this.
Thank you.

KeymasterHi Tim!
In Events > Settings > General, there is a setting named “End of day cutoff.” Try setting this a few hours ahead of the actual end time of the events. Sometimes time zone configurations can cause issues.
Let me know if this helps!
Thanks,

ParticipantThat does not work. I don’t have an option to post something before 12 am. That’s the earliest option.
How do I just set the time zone for standard eastern time? That’s probably the most common right?

KeymasterTim,
Can you explain what you mean by “I don’t have an option to post something before 12 am.”
Also, could you post a screenshot of your settings for “End of day cutoff” in Events > Settings > General? And also the date and time settings for one of the events that is having the issue?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi,
yes sir. If you see in the screen shot below, there is no dropdown option to make it go past 12 am. I entitled the screen shot “cutoff.”
Also, I attached another file called taco tuesday where you can clearly see that the event that belongs on tuesday (taco tuesday) is not being cut off at midnight and is showing up for thing on wed morning. I’m sure you can see how this is not ideal for my users. The traffic is picking up every day so I really need to get this cleared up.
Thank you for your help.

KeymasterTim,
I apologize, I may have not expressed that very clearly. By “ahead” I meant “later.” If the events are ending at 2am, try setting this to 3 or 4am just to be sure.
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,

ParticipantThis worked. Thank you so much sky.
Now onto the next one, I can’t figure out why some of the Facebook pages are duplicating events. There are a few of them but the most notably one is this yoga event.
https://bocadigest.com/event/turn-up-friday-with-raw-yoga-3/
You can see it on this page, and you can see the very next event is the same thing. Every time this event uploads (and there are some others) it imports two of them and puts them right next to each other.
What do I do?

KeymasterHi Tim!
I’m glad to hear that we were able to figure out your original issue!
Could you please create a new post for the Facebook issue? This really helps us track the number of support requests for individual issues, and will help others who search for answers in the forums.
I will tell you that there have been issues with Facebook imports since Facebook make some big changes to how their API works recently. You can read more about how this may be impacting your events here.
Thanks for your understanding,
