Trying to update/install events calendar get an error message that says the folder already exists, i have deactivated most of my plugins but the issue seems to be that the events calendar is not showing on my list of plugins so my event calendar pro is not working either

    Hi Kristin!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues installing the Events Calendar plugin. I will try to help you figure this out.

From your screenshots, it appears that you are trying to manually upload the Events Calendar plugin. This is also available in the WordPress repository. What happens if you try to install it that way? Just go to Plugins > Add New, and search for “the events calendar.”

If you still get the same error message that way, you may need to manually delete the plugin from the wp-content/plugins folder using FTP or your hosts admin panel. Then try installing through the Plugins interface again.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,
    Sky
