ParticipantHey Chris,
I appreciate you doing your homework! Sometimes having a deeper knowledge of how the plugin works gives us a better shot of knowing what to search for to get relevant results, so don’t beat yourself up; that’s why we’re here!
Feel free to respond with questions you may have, but please note that this thread will be closed after 2 weeks of inactivity if we don’t hear from you.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Daniel,
It appears as though you may have accidentally created a new thread instead of replying to this one.
Either way, I’d like to clarify, is this a support issue or Pre-Sales question? If you already own Events Calendar PRO, you’ll need to post your question the Events Calendar PRO forum here in order to get support for your product, as this forum is intended only to answer Pre-Sales questions.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that! 🙂
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Chris,
Thanks for thinking of our plugins for your project! This is a great question, and your project seems super cool! 🙂
So, the short answer, is that no, this isn’t a built-in option, but yes it is possible if you’re working with a developer who can make these kinds of customizations. The best advice I can give for knowing what you’d be getting into here, is to take a look at George’s response in this thread.
As I mentioned, this kind of request would require some customization. We have some resources for doing that here. If you need to find someone to help with the customizations, we also have some tips for finding help here.
Hope this helps, please let me know if you need any clarification on this!
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi Ant,
Thanks so much for considering our plugins for your –happy to answer some here if I can! ?
The short answer to your question, is that, no, we do not have an API or embeddable code at this time. Depending on your purpose for wanting an API or embeddable code, I think the following information MIGHT be helpful:
Again, depending on how you’re trying to use this, I’d consider pairing one of our calendar plugins (The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO) with our Event Aggregator add-on along with Event Tickets plus as you mentioned. Event Aggregator allows you to import events from third-party sources such as Google Calendar or Facebook into your calendar and can be used on up to 10 separate sites on a single license.
Using this, each of your individual site administrators can manage a single Google Calendar, which will house all events for that specific organization. You can then set up daily imports from these calendars for each site–each individual site will import its own events, and the parent site will import from all of the calendars to create a “master” calendar with all events. You can read more about how to set up scheduled imports using Event Aggregator on our Knowledgebase here.
Let me know if that’s helpful at all or if you need any clarification. 🙂

Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHey Daniel,
Thanks for considering Events Calendar PRO, I’m happy to answer your question here!
While it’s not a built in option to choose abbreviated days of the week, it is absolutely possible with a little modification to the functions.php file! I think you’ll find the information you need about how you might go about changing the days of the week to abbreviations in this Knowledge Base article. 🙂
Let us know if you have any other questions about how the plugin works!

ParticipantHi Manuel,
So sorry for the delay here, I intended to inform you that there aren’t any further steps to take beyond noting this in our system. Could you let me know if this is still an issue with the latest version of our plugin? I’ve documented it with a ticket in our system, but if there are any updates I can add that information to the ticket. 🙂
Thanks!
Shelby

ParticipantHi Terry,
Thanks for the additional information. I’ll check in on the email thing. If you mentioned it was for me, you shouldn’t have gotten that response, though typically we don’t allow reply by email.
Unfortunately I can’t replicate this issue. I’m going to rope one of my colleagues in on this one, thank you so much for your patience here!
Best,

ParticipantHi Jeremy,
Thanks for reaching out today, I’m happy to help however I can. 🙂
Just to clarify, are you already using our plugins? If so I think you’ll find more help with this over on the Premium Forums, and I think this question would be best suited under the Events Calendar PRO forum. The purpose of this pre-sales forum is to answer questions for users who are deliberating whether or not to purchase the plugins and/or clarify features.
Let me know if this makes sense, or if I’ve misunderstood.
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi Megan,
I’m happy to answer your questions here, thanks for considering our plugins for your project!
Unfortunately, you’re correct, the calendar connection does only go one way (to pull events in, not to push them out), and there’s no good way to reverse that connection without some serious customization, that is beyond the level of support we can provide on even our premium forums.
It sounds like our plugin may not be right for what you’re trying to accomplish, but I sincerely hope you find something that works well for this project, and that you’ll think of us in the future!
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi George,
Thanks for reaching out, I’m happy to answer your questions here. 🙂
Unfortunately, we don’t have a check in “app” at this time, but we do have a feature where you can check users in via scanning a QR code on their ticket, which I believe would meet your needs. You can read more about that under “QR Code Check-Ins” here.
Please let me know if you have any further questions related to this!
Thanks,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi Rob,
Thanks for considering our plugins; I’m happy to help out here!
Unfortunately, at this time, emailing attendees isn’t a built in feature, but there are a couple ways to accomplish this.
- You can download the CSV file of attendee information and grab attendee email addresses from that.
- A user in this thread shared their own solution which you can check out.
Regarding more education-oriented wording, I think you may find this knowledge base article helpful to start, and of course, should you choose to purchase our plugins, and require further assistance, our support team will be here to help out however we can!
Let me know if you have any questions about this!
Cheers,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi Steve,
Thanks for reaching out, we’re so happy you’re considering our plugins! I’d love to help you here!
My wonderful colleague Caroline actually answered a similar inquiry not too long ago, over here. I think you’ll find Caroline’s response answers your question on this one. Â Let me know if I can be of more help here or clarify anything on this one, just didn’t want to re-invent the wheel!

ParticipantHi Terry,
Thanks for the update of your issue here. So sorry for the delayed response on this one, I was out a bit last week. I’m still a bit baffled because I’m not able to replicate the issue in my testing environment, and we have no other reports of this issue.
Could you possibly send an email to [email protected] and attach an export of these events so that I can test with them directly? Please mention in your email that it’s for me and include the link to this thread.
Best,
Shelby 🙂
