ParticipantHi Thomas,
My apologies for the delayed reply. I had a miscommunication with a colleague who was going to pitch in here. Anyway, I’m going to go ahead and tap someone else on this one, since you seem to be frustrated with the support I’m providing. George should be chiming in on this one soon!
Best of luck with this project!

ParticipantHi Francis,
My apologies for the delayed response here! I did some further testing and I’m not able to replicate this issue in my testing environment as of today. I think that one of your remaining plugins may be conflicting here. Can you let me know if you’re still having this issue?
Best,
Shelby

ParticipantCrystal,
It sounds like the latest update has overwritten your modifications perhaps? The error may be occurring as an unrelated issue. Can you possibly send me a link to your site where I can test this and interact with the problem firsthand? That would help a TON.

ParticipantHey Kyle,
So my colleague put together this fantastic snippet that will stop our code from querying unnecessarily. However, he’s not entirely convinced that our plugins queries are causing as much lag as you’re reporting, so you may have other factors contributing to it as well. You can add that snippet to test that theory.
Let me know how this works out for you! π

ParticipantHi Philipp,
I now see what you were saying! Sorry, I believe I misunderstood initially. Unfortunately, this is the way our date picker is set up. However, I think you’re correct that it would be less confusing to have the date picker align with the chosen “Week Starts On” setting in WordPress.
I went ahead and opened a feature suggestion for this here. Please review it and let me know if this accurately portrays your thoughts here.
Thanks,

ParticipantHey Crystal,
Did you use Barry’s code as-is or fill in the snippet with your variables? That snippet wasn’t intended for as-is use, but I’m also curious about why this issue exists in the first place and I may be logging this as a bug. I’m going to do some further testing for this. If you could provide me with a specific Outlook version number, that would be really helpful.
In the meantime, I’d suggest removing Barry’s code, so that your users can download the event without receiving the error message.
Thanks,
Shelby π

ParticipantHey Thomas,
When you say, “enable Yoast in the community event page” do you mean that you want to optimize the community event submission form page for search with Yoast? Or perhaps that you want users to be able to enter information for Yoast fields through this form? Or something entirely different?
Some more information about your goal would be helpful so I can better assist you. π
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Terry,
I can’t see where the RSVP button is being hidden or anything, it’s just simply not there. If it was being hidden, I could give you a CSS work around, but that doesn’t seem to be the issue here.
It seems to me that you need to check for discrepancies between your settings for the time slots that have been taken already and the ones that are left on the days where the buttons aren’t showing up. Something about those slots is configured in a way that doesn’t generate an RSVP button.
Can you look into that and let me know what you find please?
Best,
Shelby

ParticipantHi Francis,
Sorry for the name mix up! The message was intended for you, I was just switching between replies, and got the names switched. Again, my apologies on that!
Thanks for going through those steps as much as as you felt comfortable. That’s super helpful!
Chuck,
Thanks for joining us!Β Feel free to keep following this thread. However, we’d LOVE to help you more individually. We’ll be able to give you much better assistance if you can please open a separate thread for your similar issue. π
Anyway friends, I’ve gotten a few reports of this issue now, so I’m leaning toward this probably being a bug. I’m going to do some testing and hopefully be able to update you shortly!
Best,

ParticipantHi again Brent,
As a rule, we generally don’t access a user’s Β dashboard unless we HAVE to, so let’s try to resolve this before moving to that step. I notice your system info is missing a plugins list. Could you possibly provide that to me?
Best,

ParticipantHey again Crystal,
So just some clarification here to aid the troubleshooting process:
- Are you using Barry’s code or Andy’s code in the thread you referenced?
- What version of Outlook are you using?
- When did this issue start happening?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Terry,
Welcome back to the forums! This indeed is a strange issue to be having. Let me see if I can help out here…
I’ve checked out the problem on your site, and in order to help, I would like to get some more information from you, if I can:
-First, if you could please test for conflicts by following this documentation? Let me know what you find. This will help me determine how deeply we need to look into the specific configuration of your site, or if this is a bug. π
-Can you send Β me screenshots of the settings for one event where the RSVP button is working, and one where it’s not so I can do some testing and attempt to replicate your issue here? Thanks!

ParticipantHi Thomas,
Welcome back to the forums! I’m happy to help if I can. π
Sounds like you’re trying to make some pretty cool changes. I want to make sure I’m understanding exactly what you’re trying to do, could you possibly send me some screenshots denoting the changes you want to make? This will help me give you better guidance in this matter if I understand the application of your request more directly (plus I’m a visual person).
In the meantime, I think you may find our Themer’s Guide and our Functions List helpful for the types of changes you’re trying to make. π Once I hear back from you, hopefully I can give you more specific resources and direction.
Cheers!
Shelby π
