ParticipantThanks for clarifying, that makes sense, David! I’ll follow up with our dev team for a response on this – thanks for hanging in there! 🙂

ParticipantHey Gaspar,
Unfortunately, we don’t have any resources for customizing the shortcodes like that, so I’ll have to check in with the devs on this one. However, I think that this knowledgebase article may help you accomplish a similar effect. 🙂
Let me know how that goes!
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHey Michael,
Thanks for clarifying, and I’m glad to see this resolved! In the future it would be super helpful if you could mention the custom CSS changes you we/have made in the past in your initial inquiry, so we can help you get to this point more quickly! 🙂
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHey Lucy,
Thanks for clarifying your questions. If you extended the length of time to make it longer, it would definitely would have a negative impact on performance on the back end.
Also yes, the “website unresponsive” message is definitely a hosting-related issue, not something our plugin could cause.
Let me know if I can help answer any further questions!
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi again Jan,
Unfortunately the link you sent me can’t be accessed unless I’m logged in, can you send me a public facing link so I can help out with this?

ParticipantHi again,
So the fact that you’re getting an error about the page not existing when it’s just our plugins and Twenty-Seventeen is a huge red flag. Everything should be operational when you do this for sure. Could you go back to that state and reset your permalinks and tell me if everything works after that please? 🙂
Let me know if you need any help with that!
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi Frans,
Feel free to keep following this thread. However, we’d LOVE to help you more individually. We’ll be able to give you much better assistance if you can please open a separate thread for your similar issue. 🙂
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Bruce,
I’m happy to help you out here, and thanks for your kind words about our plugins! 🙂
That kind of change is totally possible! We actually have some guidance for making these kinds of changes in this thread (take a look at Barry’s suggestions), and in our Themer’s Guide here. Please check those resources out and let me know if you have any more specific questions about implementing.
Cheers,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi Lucy,
Thanks for reaching out, I’m happy to help out here!
If you’re having performance issues, I’d definitely stick to the settings you have (events for one year, but created 3 months out). I’d also suggest looking into your hosting server to make sure that you have enough resources to handle your traffic. 🙂
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi there Danny,
You can definitely implement this functionality! 🙂
You should take a look at the code snippet and Geoff’s advice in this thread. After doing so, please let me know if you have any questions about implementing!
Let me know how it goes, and we’ll work from there!
Take care,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi Ryan,
Great question! 🙂
Unfortunately, the easiest way to do this is to cancel the existing order, and have her sign up for the correct event.
Please let me know if you need any additional clarification on this! 🙂
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHi there Jigar,
I’m happy to help out – thanks for using our plugins! 🙂
Can you tell me, do you happen to have a caching or speed plugin installed? If so, I’d recommend clearing your cache with it after making changes. Also, could you send me a link to your site so I can see things firsthand, and inspect your code?
Please let me know so that we can work on resolving this!
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHey Michael,
Thanks for using The Events Calendar, I’m happy to help out here.:)
Because I’m unable to replicate this issue on my testing server, this seems that it may be a theme or plugin conflict. Would you please work through the steps here to test for a conflict? This will help me be able to better assist you. 🙂
Let me know what you find out & we’ll go from there!
Best,
Shelby 🙂 -
