Recurring events are indeed a feature of Events Calendar PRO. I’ll be sure to pass along your feedback about the messaging, to see if we can make it more clear!

ParticipantHi Pascal,
Thanks for posting, & Iβm happy to help .:)
Unfortunately, this kind of request isn’t a built in option, and would require some customization that we can’t provide on these forums.
However, we do have some resources for doing that here. If you need to find someone to help with the customizations, we also have some tips for finding help here.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantHey Michael,
Thanks for using The Events Calendar, I’m happy to help out here.:)
Because I’m unable to replicate this issue on my testing server, this seems that it may be a theme or plugin conflict. Would you please work through the steps here to test for a conflict? This will help me be able to better assist you. π
Let me know what you find out & we’ll go from there!

ParticipantHi there :),
I’ll have to do some testing with this, but I have a couple questions:
- Did you just update X-Theme?
- Can you please perform this conflict testing and let me know what you find out?
- Did you make any more changes to your site recently?
Let me know and we’ll get this sorted out!

ParticipantHi Luc,
I’m happy to answer your questions. π I’m going to Β respond in italics below:
- My event is in December, now we are in May: If I scan the qr-code now, I get checked it β why? It should be somethinge like β This ticket is valid on 23 of Dec. you are now in May β your ticket is invalidβ
If people can check in on the wrong day I`m running into troubles
The QR code function is designed for you to check them in by scanning it on the day of. It’s similar to how concert tickets work. - βThe Ticket with ID 0 was checked in.β why do my tickets all have the ID 0 in the check in message although they do have a real ID on the ticket?
I’m going to have to do some testing on this. It may be a bug, or it may be an issue that I can help you troubleshoot. - What is the security code on the ticket exactly for?
So, the security code and QR code are NOT the same thing, necessarily, but are related.Itβs like this:
β’ Each ticket has its own unique security code, which we offer so that folks can manage tickets and check-ins on their own if theyβd like. Some people like to email their attendees lists and print them out for exampleβ¦and so with security codes, you can check someones ticket at the door and make sure itβs not a fake ticket by matching the security code and suchβ¦
β’ The QR Code is an automated way of checking in, as described above. It uses the security code, but when scanned will automatically βcheck-inβ the person.
- I have seen that I can delete the qr-code from my tickets with an extra plugin β the qr-code is not the problem but I need to customize my tickets in a different way β add some text to provide further information. How can I edit the ticket?
I believe this free extension should take care of this functionality. While it won’t add it to the ticket, it will add some information to the order confirmation email.
I hope this helps you, please let me know if you have any follow up questions or need any clarification!

The short answer is, yes, this is possible. Also, you’re wise to hire a developer to help with this! You should have your your developer reference our Themer’s Guide and functions list when making changes.
Please let me know if you have any follow up questions or need clarifications!

ParticipantHi there,
Great questions! π I’m happy to help!
So, we actually developed a free extension to create PDF tickets that can be enabled with the Event Tickets Plus plugin to add this feature. π
And, to answer about QR codes, yes they are uniquely generated.
Please let me know if you have any follow up questions or need any clarification!

ParticipantHi Nicolette,
I’d be happy to help you here. π
I’d like to clarify a couple things:
- Did you just install our plugins on this site, or is this a new issue on an existing install?
- When you switch to the default theme (ie Twenty-Sixteen), are the issues persistent?
- Did you make any other recent changes to your site?
Please let me know and then I can be more helpful to solve this one!
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Bart,
Could you point me at your previous thread please?
I will let the developers and QA know that the release notes link isn’t working properly, thanks for the tip! π
Finally, I’m not sure what you’re referencing about an Elegant Themes link? I can’t see where I mentioned this previously?
Thanks!

Just to clarify, the update seems to have resolved this then? Your last two messages were a little conflicting, so I just want to make sure!
