ParticipantHi,
1) I was wondering what the status is for the bug in Events Calendar Pro not recognising our license on a WP-Multisite (see https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/license-not-recognized/)
2) Furthermore we still get the following weird error message when trying to update. Note that while we do have the Extra theme from Elegant Themes, we don’t have the corresponding plugin installed. “An error occurred while updating The Events Calendar PRO: Before you can receive product updates, you must first authenticate your Elegant Themes subscription. To do this, you need to enter both your Elegant Themes Username and your Elegant Themes API Key into the Updates Tab in your theme and plugin settings. To locate your API Key, log in to your Elegant Themes account and navigate to the Account > API Key page. Learn more here. If you still get this message, please make sure that your Username and API Key have been entered correctly”
3) Finally, I was wondering why there are no release notes available for Events Calendar Pro. The links to view what’s new in the plugin update never works.
These 3 issues combined make updating the plugin a chore.
thanks for looking into this.

ParticipantHi Bart,
Unfortunately these aren’t bugs, but rather, are limitations of trying to use a premium plugin ย single site license on a single sub-site of a multisite in WordPress. ๐ You can read more about that here.
As for release notes, you can check those out here under “Recent Release Notes.”
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any follow up questions!
Best,
Shelby

ParticipantHi,
Ok, the previous thread confirmed it was a bug and would be fixed in the future. Also, I don’t understand the link with Elegant Themes in the error above. They seem totally unrelated to me?
About the release notes, events calendar pro is the only plugin were the link to release notes in the Plugin section of WP does not work. It works correctly for all other Event Calendar plugins, but not for the pro plugin. I guess it’s pointing to the wrong location in your configuration settings.
thanks

ParticipantHi Bart,
Could you point me at your previous thread please?
I will let the developers and QA know that the release notes link isn’t working properly, thanks for the tip! ๐
Finally, I’m not sure what you’re referencing about an Elegant Themes link? I can’t see where I mentioned this previously?
Thanks!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
