MemberHi Matt,
Thanks for reaching out! If you’d like to maintain separate calendars that show different events as part of a single The Events Calendar (or Events Calendar PRO) install, there are a couple of ways that you could achieve this! One way would be to use the built-in category functionality of The Events Calendar. Simply assign your events to categories based on their content–when viewing a page for a given events category, you’ll be presented with a full-sized calendar of matching events. You can see an example of a category calendar on our WP Shindig demo site here:
http://wpshindig.com/events/category/tech-meetups/
Another method would be to use the [tribe_events] shortcode that’s included with Events Calendar PRO. This shortcode can accept multiple attributes to determine which events are displayed, and the resulting calendar can be embedded in any post or page. This Knowledgebase article provides more information on this shortcode and how to use it:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions! 🙂

MemberHi Todd,
Thanks so much for reaching out–happy to shed some light here! If you’re currently using The Events Calendar to manage your calendar events, you can add basic ticketing support with the free Event Tickets plugin, then extend that further to include paid ticketing with Event Tickets Plus. Event Tickets Plus pairs with an e-commerce platform of your choice for all payment processing and order management tasks–WooCommerce is one of our supported offerings and works great with all that Event Tickets Plus has to offer. 🙂
To recap, the following plugins, all together, should provide the paid ticketing functionality that you’re looking for:
- The Events Calendar
- Event Tickets
- Event Tickets Plus
- WooCommerce
I hope that helps to get you started! Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Cheers, and thanks again for stopping by!

You can learn more about this feature of Event Tickets Plus on our Knowledgebase here:

Let us know if you should have any other questions here–we’d be glad to assist further! Cheers, and thanks again!

MemberHi Deb,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here! While we don’t have any integrations built in to support membership pricing at this time, there are a couple of ways that I can think of to accomplish this:
- You could provide coupon codes for each level of membership available through your organization, which can be applied to ticket purchases at checkout to receive a discount. This method would likely be the simplest approach, as support for coupon/discount codes is available with both of our supported e-commerce platforms, and coupon codes can be input directly from the cart and/or checkout pages.
- You could try using a third-party WooCommerce extension such as WooCommerce Memberships to offer separate pricing tiers for different membership levels. This method may be a simpler approach for your visitors, but it would likely require more setup on your end. In particular, if your selected extension relies on WooCommerce product pages for proper functionality, this Knowledgebase article may be helpful:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/selling-tickets-from-the-woocommerce-products-page/
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Helen,
Thanks for reaching out! While we haven’t specifically tested the WooCommerce Deposits extension with Event Tickets Plus, I can confirm that most WooCommerce extensions that support virtual products and the “simple” product type should work just fine with our plugins. Your best bet, of course, will be to try this combination on your site to see how it works for you! As always, you’ll be covered by our 30-day refund policy if you should determine that this matchup doesn’t quite meet your needs.
For more information on third-party compatibility with our products, check out the following Knowledgebase articles:
- Compatibility with WooCommerce Extensions – The Events Calendar
- Third-party compatibility with The Events Calendar plugins
It’s worth noting that full support for adding tickets to recurring events is not available with Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus at this time. If you need to sell tickets for events that recur on any type of schedule, you’ll need to create your event series first, split off each recurrence into a single event, then add tickets one at a time to each event.
Further to this is there a way for me to add similar products on a single event page?
By default, tickets for a given event are listed below the event details on the single event page for which they were created. There is no built-in functionality to display related tickets or products, though you may be able to add this feature via some custom development. You can read more about customizing our plugin templates on our Themer’s Guide:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
In essence I need to create a course site where people can filter courses by location, date and level and the book by paying a deposit or in full in this possible and what series of tools will I need to achieve this.
It sounds like your basic needs here should be met by Events Calendar PRO, Event Tickets Plus, and Filter Bar! As before, I can’t make any guarantees regarding deposits with WooCommerce–that said, I think it’s worth trying to see if it might work for your setup!
I hope that helps to get you on your way here! Please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions or concerns. Cheers, and thanks again!

MemberHi Collin,
Thanks for reaching out! Custom integrations with third-party plugins such as these are beyond the scope of what our support team can assist with–unfortunately, we simply don’t have the means to test every third-party plugin or extension with our products. That said, we do offer a full 30-day refund policy for all purchases made with us, so you’re 100% covered in the event that this integration doesn’t work as expected. Feel free to give it a try and see how it works with your setup! 🙂
For reference, this set of plugins should include all the functionality you need for this setup:
- The Events Calendar (free)
- Events Calendar PRO (optional)
- Event Tickets (free)
- Event Tickets Plus
- Community Events
- Community Tickets
Our Community Manager Bundle may be an option worth considering–this bundle contains nearly all of the premium plugins listed above (plus Filter Bar) at a discounted price and makes it easy to get up and running quickly.
I hope that helps to get you started here! Let me know if you should have any other questions about any of the above listed plugins. Cheers, and thanks again for stopping by!
