MemberHi there! Thanks for stopping by–happy to hear you’re considering our plugins for your client’s site!
You’re almost right on the money there! We are in the process of sunsetting WooCommerce Tickets and have rolled the product’s feature set into Event Tickets Plus, which is still being actively developed and contains a great deal of added functionality. I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have about the differences between these two plugins!
For multi-day events, you have two main options: you can create a recurring event set to recur on each day of the course, or you can create a single event with the start date set to the first day and the end date set to the last day of the course. In the latter case, you can specify hours for each day and other relevant details in the event description.
Does that help to clarify a bit? Let me know if you should have any other questions! 🙂 Thanks!

MemberHi there! Thanks for your interest in Community Events–happy to help you out here! 🙂
Regarding your questions about tags and custom fields for user-submitted events:
- We don’t currently support tags on user-submitted events, although we are hoping to implement this functionality at some point on down the line. If you’d like to show your support for this feature being added to an upcoming release, you can cast your vote on our UserVoice forum here!
- Custom fields for Community Events are similarly not a built-in feature, although this is currently achievable by way of customizations, if you’re keen to write a bit of code for it! We do have a recent support thread from another user that may be helpful to you as you go.
I hope that helps to answer your questions! Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you!

MemberHi there! Thanks for stopping by and checking out our plugins–happy to help you out with your questions here!
Regarding the event/sub-event setup you’re inquiring about, can you clarify a bit as to how you’d like this setup to work for you? Are you looking to simply list these sub-events as details of a main event, or are you looking to, say, sell tickets or collect RSVPs for sub-events under a main event umbrella? Any details you can provide about what you’re looking to achieve will help us to steer you in the right direction!
Let us know what you’re envisioning, and we’ll see what we can do to get you there! 🙂 Thanks!

Thanks for getting in touch! We offer a handful of widget options for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO, all of which you can read more about on our Knowledgebase here. I’d also recommend checking out the related articles in the sidebar, as they contain some additional information that may be helpful if you should have any further questions! 🙂
I hope that helps! Let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist!

MemberHi again! Thanks for following up with us–glad to hear that Filter Bar is working out great for you so far! 🙂 I’d be happy to help you with these other questions of yours.
- A year-long event in the way you’re describing should work just fine for user searches–as long as it’s a single event that spans the entire year and not a daily recurring event, it should only appear one time in a given set of search results. On calendar views the event will show up on every singular day that it covers, but if you’d like, you can hide these events from the main calendar altogether by assigning them a specific category and then removing that category from the main calendar view using this snippet.
- The date search functionality actually works a little differently than what you’re describing, as it only filters search results to show events beginning on or after the given date. This can be helpful if your users are, for example, only looking for events that begin after next month–they can search “July 1” and see all events falling on July 1st or later. That said, the date field is totally optional, and your users can simply ignore it when searching to see all matching events regardless of date.
- This is definitely possible through customization, though we don’t support it as a built-in feature with any of our products. Events created with The Events Calendar are stored in WordPress’s database as custom post types (with the slug tribe_events), which means they can be accessed via a standard WordPress query to pull whatever data you’d like to display on any page. WordPress’s documentation on WP_Query and our own Themer’s Guide would both be great places to start if you’re interested in learning more about how to implement your own customizations!
I hope that helps! Let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi again! No worries; thank you for clarifying! 🙂 It sounds like we’re on the same page here–the code snippet linked above should work well for setting up Calendar 2 from your list, while the individual calendars of Calendar 3, 4, etc. should work by simply linking to the category pages you’d like to display calendars for. You can read more about how to link to calendars from WordPress navigation menus in our Knowledgebase here, or we’d be happy to point you in the right direction if you’re looking to achieve something different with your setup!
Does that help a bit to clear things up? Let me know if you should have any other concerns!

Thanks for reaching out–great questions. We offer a detailed guide for using our CSV Importer on our Knowledgebase here, as well as a secondary reference with field breakdowns and examples here (including sample CSVs you can download and use to adapt your own data). Between the two of these, hopefully you should find all the answers you seek, but we’re happy to answer any questions you might have if you should run into trouble along the way!
Thank you, and let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with!

MemberHi there!
Thanks for getting in touch! I’m afraid that all of our products, including The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO, are developed exclusively for WordPress-based sites and will not work with other content management systems. That said, we appreciate your interest–and we hope you’ll consider paying us another visit should your CMS needs change in the future! 🙂
Thank you, and best of luck with your project!

MemberHi there!
Thanks so much for getting in touch–we’re thrilled to hear you’re considering making the move to our products!
It sounds like you’re wanting to maintain separate full-sized calendars for different categories of events on your site, as well as a main “master” calendar that hosts all events except for certain specific categories. Is this correct?
We have a GitHub snippet for excluding certain event categories that you may find helpful when building your main calendar:
For your category-specific calendars, category listings will default to calendar views displaying only the events within that category, making it easy to maintain and link to separate calendars for different types of events. Here’s an example category view from our demo site so you can compare the two calendars.
Does this help to answer your questions? Let me know! 🙂 Thanks again!

If you’re looking to display events on a calendar and sell tickets from multiple pricing buckets per event, our Event Tickets Plus plugin should meet your needs perfectly! Our Personal license includes a full year of updates and product support for one website for $89, works beautifully with both our free and premium versions of The Events Calendar, and comes with support for multiple e-commerce platforms, so you can select the one that best fits your needs and budget.
For the calendar portion of your site, you have a choice between The Events Calendar, our free events calendar solution, or Events Calendar PRO, a premium offering with more features and functionality (plus updates and dedicated support). You can view a point-by-point feature comparison between the two products on our PRO product page! If you should choose to upgrade to PRO for your business, a Personal license for one website is $89.
I hope that helps to answer your questions! Let me know if you should have any other concerns, and thanks again for stopping by!

MemberHi again!
Solid question! Venues are stored in the WordPress database as custom post types and are able to be queried for uses such as this, but again, this would fall under the umbrella of site-specific customizations, which we aren’t able to assist with directly. If you’re interested in developing a custom solution to achieve this on your site, I’d encourage you to check out our Themer’s Guide and Technical Docs to get you started–you’ll find plenty of information and resources between the two of them to help you on your journey! 🙂
I hope that helps to clarify and gives you some direction regarding what to check out next! Best of luck if you do decide to take the plunge, and let us know if you should have any questions as you go!

MemberHi there!
Thanks so much for checking us out! It sounds to me like this is actually two features you’re interested in:
- Support for “season pass”-type tickets, which cover a range of dates and support multiple check-ins that are tracked within that time period. This feature isn’t currently supported, although we do have a feature request for it if you’d like to lend your support!
- Support for purchasing a ticket on any given day that could then be used for the next x days before expiring. Depending on your requirements, you may be able to achieve something similar with a daily recurring event, though check-ins for each class would need to be handled manually outside of the plugin in this case.
You may want to take a look at our Eventbrite Tickets plugin, as Eventbrite may have more established support for the type of event management you’re needing here. That said, if this is functionality you’d like to see us support in a future release, we’d be thrilled to get your feedback and suggestions over on our feature request forum! 🙂
I hope that helps! Let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi there! Thanks for stopping by to take a look at our products! 🙂
As it turns out, we actually offer a great plugin solution for musicians to manage tour dates and other related events–we’ve recently acquired the free plugin GigPress, which works beautifully with Event Tickets Plus for ticket sales and payment processing. You can read more about GigPress and the types of integration we offer here!
I hope that helps! Please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!
