Community Events Custom Fields and Tags

Hello,

Is there an option to make the user choose tags (preferably only choose from some of the existing tags) and will I be able to add Custom Fields to the form?

Regarding your questions about tags and custom fields for user-submitted events:

• We don’t currently support tags on user-submitted events, although we are hoping to implement this functionality at some point on down the line. If you’d like to show your support for this feature being added to an upcoming release, you can cast your vote on our UserVoice forum here!
• Custom fields for Community Events are similarly not a built-in feature, although this is currently achievable by way of customizations, if you’re keen to write a bit of code for it! We do have a recent support thread from another user that may be helpful to you as you go.

We’re happy to announce you can now allow users to add Tags to their events when submitting them to your site.

Don’t worry, they won’t be able to go crazy and add 80 million new tags on your site – in the same way categories work, users can only add existing tags that an admin has created to their event. And if you wish to remove Categories and Tags from the event submission form, you can do so with simple customizations.
