    Hello, and thanks for checking out our plugins!

    The date and location are part of the default search bar, and for the categories and “level” section, you would want to go with Filter Bar. I believe “Level” is a field that was created with the Additional Fields functionality from Events Calendar Pro – the good news is that Additional Fields can be used in Filter Bar!

    Community Events will let users create their own listings, and Community Tickets will let them sell tickets on their events if they would like. Allowing ratings on events is currently not supported, although comments can be enabled.

    You may also want to take a look at our bundles to see if there are any deals in there you would want to snag!

    Does that help? Please let me know if you need any more specifics on anything!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Atticus,

    We do not do customizations at this time, but we do have a list of recommended developers that could help you out with this.

    We also have a themer’s guide with some great info on customizing our plugins, if you’d like to give it a shot yourself! We’ll be here to answer questions and help point you in the right direction.

    I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you here, but I hope this is helpful!

    Unfortunately there is not currently any out of the box functionality for wait listing. However, you could import your events into your calendar using Eventbrite Tickets (or create events in the calendar and push them to Eventbrite). This would let you promote the events on your site, but ultimately ticket sales could be handled through Eventbrite. If they clicked on your site to buy a ticket that you created in Eventbrite, they would be directed to that event on eventbrite.com. This way, you should be able to keep your waitlisting feature!

    I also want to note that we do have a Nonprofit Partnership Program that you may be interested in applying for. It offers free versions of Event Tickets Plus and Events Calendar Pro to approved organizations (please note that it does not cover Eventbrite Tickets and does not include support in our premium forums, which requires a premium license).

    Let me know if I can help you with anything else!

    Hi Aeky,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Unfortunately, the only way to edit an organizer or a venue that has already been created is through that post edit screen on the backend. You can however remove the option.

    You can hide it easily with CSS by adding the following to your Additional CSS area under Appearance > Customize (if you have one) or the style.css file of your child theme.

    #edit-tribe-venue .edit-linked-post-link {
    display: none;
    }

    I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you, but please let me know how that works for you!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Adaniela,

    Thanks for testing for conflicts and sharing that link…I took a look at your testing site, and I am getting the same thing you are – this is definitely odd!

    Could you please send a screenshot of the ticket settings (with the options expanded, like in this screenshot) for ticket 14740 including whether or not you are using global stock? Also, you said this is only happening on certain events – are the ticket settings the same for the other events where this is occurring?

    Looking back at your first post, it sounds like this starts happening after all tickets have been sold (stock has correctly gone down to zero). Is this the case, or is it also on events where tickets have not been sold out?

    If you could follow these instructions to share your system info with me, that would be very helpful as well: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    I’m sorry you’re running into these problems, but I appreciate your patience as we work to figure out what’s going on!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Susan, I’m glad to hear that CSS helped!

    Paul, thanks for sharing that solution!

    As George mentioned, we hope to have a fix out soon, but hopefully one of these temporary fixes will hold you over in the meantime.

    Thanks for you patience as we get this worked out!

    Hi Erin,

    I understand where you’re coming from…caching is quite complicated! It looks like you are using a caching plugin on your site. Since you are using this, you should clear your cache (from within the plugin) each time you change something on the front end. There are certain actions (like publishing a new post) that will clear the cache automatically, but otherwise you will need to do it manually.

    For W3 Total Cache, you can follow these instructions to clear the cache in the plugin. Can you give that a try and let me know if that works for you? To test, you can change the image, clear the cache in the plugin, and then verify that the new image is showing. If you’d prefer to do this in a testing environment, a plugin like WP Staging will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing. It’s always a good idea to backup your site before using plugins like this!

    Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Robert,

    That first rule in your CSS is setting the max width of the image’s container to 64px….if you want the images to be the original size, you can remove that rule, and then you can set the image width to initial:

    .tribe-events-list .tribe-events-event-image img {
    width: initial;
    }

    Does that give you what you’re looking for? Let me know if you need any further clarification!

    Thanks,

    Hi Jon,

    I understand the templates can be a bit cumbersome to customize. The ability to add custom email fields per event has been suggested as a feature request, and if this is something you would like to see implemented in the future, please do vote on this request! We use this feature ideas forum to help gauge user interest in new features and help plan future development efforts.

    I did a quick test on my end, and you are right that the additional fields do strip out the HTML. It will let you add a link using an anchor tag, but everything else I tried was stripped out. Depending on what you’re trying to do with the HTML (for example if you are trying to create a wrapper to control the display of the field in the email), you could add this into the template itself surrounding where you are adding the field. I know that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but I hope it’s helpful!

    If there’s anything else I can help with, please let me know. I’d be happy to help you figure out the best way to implement this!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Glad to hear you got this figured out, and thanks for the kind words! At least now you have some tips for getting Community Events set up.  : )

    Since this thread has been marked “resolved”, I’ll go ahead and close it out. But please feel free to open a new one if you have any more questions or need any help getting it configured.

    Thanks,

    One other thing to double check is that the license is entered next to Event Aggregator under Events > Settings > Licenses and not next to one of our other plugins. This is an easy mistake to make and actually happens frequently, so I wanted to make sure I pointed that out as well!

    Hi Frank,

    You should actually be able to use the Event Aggregator license on up to 10 sites, as long as you stay under the 100 import limit. But, I’m actually showing your new domain downtownFORTmyers.com as the one the license is active on. Are you not able to see any import options as shown in this screenshot, or are imports failing?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Dotty,

    Thanks for reaching out! It looks like you’re using a shortcode on that page to generate the list of events, but if you are looking to show all events, past and present, for a given category, you can use the [tribe_events view=”list” category=”your-category”] shortcode anywhere on your site, and add the date attribute to specify how far back you would like it to start listing events. You can also specify which view you would like to use.

    Does that give you what you’re looking for? Please let me know if this helps!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hello,

    Thanks for checking out our plugins! You can use them on any website that is using the WordPress platform, so either one is fine.

    Please let me know if you have any more questions!

    Hi Atticus,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Unfortunately there is not any review functionality in place currently, but this sounds like a great feature! We would love it if you would post this in our Feature Ideas forum, which is what we use to gauge user interest in new features and help guide development efforts.

    For now, there is a setting to allow comments on events, which you can enable by going to Events > Settings.

    Please let me know if you have any more questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
