    Hi Richard,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Unfortunately, there aren’t any shortcodes available to add to the Community Events submission form.  However, if you are looking to customize the form, that is something that is definitely possible.

You can add Additional Fields to your form by going to Events Settings < Additional Fields.

You can also copy and edit the submission template itself.

I’d recommend starting off by taking a look at our Themer’s Guide, which can show you which templates can be edited and copied in order to achieve the results that you are looking for.

I believe the template that you’re looking for is located at /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/edit-event.php

As for your overlapping events, are you referring to preventing users from adding events when an event has already been added at that time?

Unfortunately, that isn’t a functionality that we currently have available.  You can have event statuses set to Draft, so that you can review them before publishing in order to prevent that.

You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

It sounds like you are looking to create events and add tickets to those events.  In order to achieve this functionality, I would recommend Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus.

If you are looking to also have organizers add events with tickets to the front-end of your site, I would also recommend Community Events and Community Tickets.

Also, feel free to check out our demo site here.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Derek,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I have both the latest version of WooCommerce and that extension installed on my site, without any issue.

You should be good to go ahead and update WooCommerce.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Alexandra,

You can add a column for categories, as in the example CSV that I linked to.

Alternatively, you can choose a default category for all of your events to be imported into.  This option would only make sense if all of the events you are importing will go into the same category.  You can do this under Events Settings < Imports.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Jacob,

Okay, let me know how that goes! Just so you know, this thread will self-close in three weeks without a response, so if that happens, you can just open a new thread and reference this one so that we can jump back in.

You’ll want to add the full snippet to your theme’s functions.php file, here is the example:

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Hi Tam,

For future reference, that file would be copied and edited and go into your-theme/tribe-events/admin-views/meta-box.php.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

I’d recommend starting off by taking a look at our Themer’s Guide, which can show you which templates can be edited and copied in order to achieve the results that you are looking for.

The template that you’ll want to override is: /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/admin-views/meta-box.php

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Hi Leslie,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

With Events Calendar PRO, you can add venues from the back end of your site, so that when you create an event, you can add one of your already created venues easily.

    Hi Geoff,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Okay, I see what you mean.  It seems that WooCommerce is not recognizing the shared capacity here and the number to trust is definitely what you are seeing in your ticket, as it remains accurate.

If you want to increase the ticket capacity, I’d recommend doing so within your ticket, rather than through WooCommerce.

    Hi Phillip,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

You can change your Date Format Settings under Event Settings < Display in order to achieve this.

You can change the Date without year to look like this, in order to display the day: l, F j

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Hi Elena,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Depending on what plan you have with WordPress.com, you should be able to add the plugins like any other plugin.  You can follow this tutorial from WordPress:

    Hi Ken,

With Event Tickets Plus, you can set a capacity for your tickets so that registration will close once capacity has been reached.

    Hi Brandon,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

It seems that your Community Submission page is located at: http://www.columbian.com/events/events/community/add

Note the additional “events”.  I’m wondering if there is a issue here with a redirect of some kind.  Can you try changing this in Events Settings < Community and see if that makes a difference.

After doing so, can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes.  You will want to clear your browser and site cache as well after doing this.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
