We do appreciate your feedback.  We release the beta versions in order to give customers a chance to take a look at what’s to come, especially in this case, as we revamped some things.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any further questions!

in reply to: Issue when adjusting quantity inputs and ticket fieldsets #1380139

    Hi Kristin,

Thanks for providing me with that information.

I see what you mean about ticket fields not populating.  Let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Great, thanks for that information.

I just checked and this is a known issue that we are currently dealing with and unfortunately I don’t have a timeline I can give you as to when it will be resolved. However, we are working on it, and I linked this thread to our internal ticket. As soon as we have an update, we’ll let you know here.

I do apologize for the inconvenience! If you have any questions in the meantime, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Jeff,

Gotcha, thanks for letting me know!

As a next step, let’s try to flush your permalinks.  You can do this by going to Settings < Permalinks and clicking Save Changes.

If that doesn’t do the trick, I’d recommend going through the troubleshooting steps in the following article:

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for reaching out!  I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue!

Are you seeing any issues with functionality on this site when the error is there?

As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.

in reply to: Database issue!! ?? #1378904

    Hi Adam,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I’d recommend taking a look at Our Favorite Developer Plugins, especially something like Query Monitor, which may be able to point you to where some of the issues are with your site.

In general, you might want to have a look at our Performance Considerations and see if there is anything you can adjust in order to help your site run better:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/performance-considerations/

After that, you may be interested in caching, so take a look at this article:  https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/caching-basics/

Let me know how it goes and if you need any further assistance on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for testing things out!  Unfortunately we cannot offer any support on our beta versions yet, as we are still actively working on the final versions of the plugins.

We appreciate your feedback and look forward to assisting you when the official versions are released!

    Hi Ron,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first step, would you mind updating your WordPress version, The Events Calendar, and Events Calendar PRO to their most recent versions?

You can see our system requirements here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-are-the-system-requirements-for-your-plugins/

I’d recommend backing up your site before updating as well.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I found your calendar located at this URL: http://www.sussexlocal.net/events/

You can check your Events URL slug at Event Settings < General.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Events Pro Exclusion Major Issue!! #1378879

    Hi Steven,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your patience!  We are experiencing a high volume of support threads and are doing our best to get through them in a timely fashion.

Anyway, we’d love to help you to resolve your issue.  As a first step, it’s worth mentioning that we recommend a PHP version of 5.4 and above in our system requirements.

Let’s start by trying to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

If you are still experiencing an issue after going through this process, please take a screenshot of how your event is set up so that I can try to replicate the event on my end.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Is it possible to display event widget as carousel #1378871

    Hi Wayne,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

What you are looking to do isn’t something that we have out of the box, but you can explore our list of Compatible Themes, which may be able to help you achieve the results you are looking for.

You may be able to achieve something like a carousel, but this would require a fair amount of customization.  Here is our Themer’s Guide, which can give you an idea of which templates and views can be copied and edited:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

In addition, if you don’t have some programming skills, I think the best here would be to hire a customizer to work these things out for your site.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if anything else comes up!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi again Dennis!

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the preview releases.  Unfortunately at this time, as detailed on your Account Page, we do not yet provide support for these plugins, as we are still actively working on the final versions of them.

We look forward to assisting you when they are released!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
