ParticipantI thought I’d go ahead and test out the new 4.6rc1 updates. I have encountered several issues.
When attempting to add a new event:
– The Start/End Time and Date picker fields are acting as simple text fields. No selector is popping up to allow me to pick. They are also using military time instead of am/pm.
– The Location Venue section does not show either of the two venues that exist
– The Organizer section does not show the default organizer
– Clicking on the + New Ticket section does nothingIt’s almost as if something is missing or incompletely installed.
I also am getting an interesting error message (see attachment).
I *think* I installed the RC1 components correctly.

ParticipantJust a side-note: In the email that was sent out, “Last Chance for Testing”, the following statement is made:
If you want to see how the new ticketing interface works with The Events Calendar, make sure you also download and activate The Events Calendar 4.7.
There is no place I could find to download version 4.7. Could that be part of the problem?

KeymasterHi Brad,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are seeing an issue with the new preview release versions. Unfortunately, as mentioned in the email that you received, we cannot offer support on these plugins at this time, as they are still undergoing some testing before being officially released.
As for version 4.7 of The Events Calendar, that must have been an oversight on our end, because that version does not exist yet.
We look forward to assisting you as soon as they are officially released!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantOh, you misunderstand. I’m not looking for support – merely pointing out that there are issues that need to be addressed prior to your release. Since I am not convinced that 4.6 as an upgrade will be production ready I will wait until after the 4.6 release to implement The Events Calendar as a replacement for Event Espresso on our site.
BTW, what it the point of having a pre-release if you don’t take feedback as anything other than something to be dismissed?

KeymasterHi Brad,
We do appreciate your feedback. We release the beta versions in order to give customers a chance to take a look at what’s to come, especially in this case, as we revamped some things.
In any case, the new official versions of the plugins have been released, and I would love to know if you are still experiencing the same issues. At this point, I would be happy to assist you to resolve any issues that you may see.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any further questions!
Thanks,
Jaime
