  • Hi Rich,

    Thanks for reaching out again!

It seems like the first issue is being addressed in another thread, so I’ll leave that one for now.

Problem #2 … I have the default view set to map view. In this view the featured event photos are HUGE!

You can either try altering the image with some CSS by inspecting the element and adding the change to the WordPress Customizer or your theme’s (or child theme’s) stylesheet, or you can try a third-party plugin, like Quick Featured Images.

Problem #3 … On each individual event page, the title of the event does not appear. What is at the top is the name of the previous event and the next upcoming event. Quite confusing. Why isn’t the title of the event being described on the page being displayed?

I see what you mean here, that is definitely not expected behavior.

As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Unfortunately, by itself our plugin cannot bulk change events to all day events.  However, I’d recommend taking a look at the solution provided in the following forum post, with the addition of a third-party plugin, and see if you are able to modify it in order to achieve the results that you are looking for:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/bulk-edit-event-month/

You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Unfortunately we cannot provide theme conflict support, as per our Support Policy, but I will do my best to point you in the right direction.

I’d recommend starting off by taking a look at our Themer’s Guide.  There you will find a section on breakpoints and responsiveness.  This guide can help walk you through the steps to create a breakpoint at which mobile styles come into effect.

    Hi Gina,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of where you are seeing this issue?

Just to clarify, this issue was not present in previous versions of our plugin?

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Tobias,

Thanks so much for reaching out!  I’m sorry that you have a conflict between our plugin and Post Types Order Plugin.  I’m glad to hear that you have a workaround for now.

In general, we do not support plugin conflicts, as per our Support Policy, but I’d love to try to point you in the right direction if possible.

On a quick google search for some more info about this plugin, I found this article → http://tidyrepo.com/post-types-order/

Apparently there’s an “Auto-Sort” option within the plugin that you can turn off, and as described in that article, it seems like with a little bit of code you can keep the Post Types Order plugin from affecting certain types.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Cathrine,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first step, can you try updating all of your Events Calendar related plugins and see if that resolves your issue?

If not, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

    Hi Cynthia,

Thanks for reaching out and for bringing this issue to our attention!

Besides seeing the PHP notice, is this affecting your site in any way?

Let me know if there’s anything further we can do to assist!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Bruce,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Unfortunately this is related to a known bug that we are currently working on.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this.

I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.

They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.

The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.

A workaround for this issue for now would be to make a template override of the orders-edit-meta.php template and use this one:

Thank you for your patience as we see this through.  Please let us know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Benjamin,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

In addition to changing the WordPress timezone, you also have timezone options through Events Calendar PRO.  If you navigate to Events Settings < General and scroll to the bottom, you will see Timezone Settings there.  You can opt to use local timezones for each event there.

Let me know how this goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Che,

Thanks for providing me with that information.  Unfortunately I am not able to replicate that issue on my test site.  If I do not enter in a start date or end date, these fields are automatically populated for me.

In addition, I see that you have the capacity set to 0, although it appears to be Unlimited Capacity on the front end.  Is this intended?

In any case, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.

    Hi Angela,

Sorry that this hasn’t worked for you so far.  There isn’t currently a bug report on this issue and I cannot reproduce the issue on my own, so let’s try to keep troubleshooting.

Another thing to try would be to contact your server host and change the timezone there.  I see that it is currently set to UTC.

You can also contact Google and see if they have suggestions for troubleshooting this issue.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Antonio,

Thanks for checking in.  Unfortunately this issue has not yet been resolved.  We are actively working on a fix for this issue and you will be informed as soon as a fix becomes available.

Thank you for your patience in this process.  Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
