ParticipantThere is a bug when using The Events Calendar Plugin and Post Types Order Plugin on the same Page.
I don’t know if this bug is caused by your plugin or the other plugin so I posted this on both plugin forums:I’m using the Post Types Order Plugin not for the events but for another Custom Post Type. That’s why I disabled the order function for the events post type.
On the Events Archive Page (list view) the events are ordered chronologically by events date. But when I use the pagination to view the 2nd (or 3rd, 4th …) page, the events won’t get ordered by events date but randomly (i guess by the post types order plugin custom order).
This only happens when using the ajax reload. When I manually reload the 2nd archive page, the events are ordered correctly. When I disable auto-order in the plugin settings of the post types order plugin, the events still get ordered randomly when using ajax pagination.
When I disable the Post Types Order Plugin, everything works well
My Solution for now:
Disabling the ajax reload. It would be nice if you could fix this ajax reload bug.

KeymasterHi Tobias,
Thanks so much for reaching out! I’m sorry that you have a conflict between our plugin and Post Types Order Plugin. I’m glad to hear that you have a workaround for now.
In general, we do not support plugin conflicts, as per our Support Policy, but I’d love to try to point you in the right direction if possible.
On a quick google search for some more info about this plugin, I found this article → http://tidyrepo.com/post-types-order/
Apparently there’s an “Auto-Sort” option within the plugin that you can turn off, and as described in that article, it seems like with a little bit of code you can keep the Post Types Order plugin from affecting certain types.
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantThat’s a pity because the Post Types Order Plugin is the most popular solution if you want to reorder posts. And your plugin is the only event calendar plugin that works – most of the time – without errors.
I know about the Auto-Sort function. Disabling the Auto-Sort function works for the non-ajax loaded list view.
When I load the list view via ajax (respectively via pagination) the events get sorted even if the Auto-sort function is disabled. This means there are two different queries for the Ajax and the non-Ajax list view.
Why is that so? That does not make any sense to me because they should output exactly the same events.-

KeymasterHi Tobias,
I’m sorry that I don’t have more information for you. It sounds like you are able to get things to work with a workaround for now. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to assist you!
Thanks,
Jaime
