ParticipantHi,
My client is having an issue with attendee lists not having the ticket name show on exported attendee lists. The ticket # does show. The ticket name has the information that they need. I tried to locate a setting where I could include the ticket name, without success Here is their explanation of the problem:
Hi,
I have an issue that I need your help on in advance of our events. In previous years when I generated the attendee lists for each event, it showed the ticket NAME (which is specified with the particular day, or wine or no wine, as the case may be) This year when I generate an attendee list (I am running testing to demonstrate what it all looks like) we have discovered that (this year) instead of the ticket name displaying on the list, it shows a ticket # only….which has no descriptor of day or other specifics I NEED to have on these lists. This is the case both when I simply let the system email the list – and also when I export the list to a CSV, it has only the ticket # and not the name of the ticket.
I have poked around in the backend to see if I can find anywhere where I can edit what info the “attendee lists” include but cannot find it. Can you try to see if you can find it?
Thanks.

KeymasterHi Gina,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Would you mind sharing a screenshot of where you are seeing this issue?
Just to clarify, this issue was not present in previous versions of our plugin?
Let me know!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi George,
Thanks so much for providing me with this information. Unfortunately, this is related to a known bug that we are currently working on.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this.
I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through. Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jaime. OK. That’s too bad. Is there anything we can do in the mean time? Add a comment field to the attendee list? Add any other kind of field? This issue was unexpected and will make our reporting very complicated. Thanks.

ParticipantHi Jaime,
Or is there a way that we can revert to a version of the plugin that doesn’t have the bug? Thanks.

ParticipantHi Jaime,
This response just now from my client:
Oh boy! They need to elevate this bug fix to the highest priority level!!
Have you submitted this bug for fixing? You said: They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release – which makes it sound like it’s not assigned to your developers yet.
Thank you.
George

KeymasterHi George,
I can assure you that the bug report has been submitted and is actively being worked on. It is also marked as the highest priority bug. Most of our team is still away on our Team Trip but they will resume progress next week.
In the meantime, the workaround is to roll back to ET / ET+ 4.6. You can find older versions of our plugins on your Downloads page.
Thank you for you patience and understanding in this process. Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantThank you Jaime.
We still have about two weeks until we need to send the list attendees (export) to the customers. At that time we will need the ticket names to be included in the export. Otherwise there will be a lot of extra work for us to do. What do you think the chances are that the bug will be fixed by then?
I’m concerned that rolling the plugins back to 4.6 might have unintended consequences.
Thanks.

KeymasterHi George,
I completely understand you concern, although there should not be any unintended consequences. One other thing to try would be to use/alter the snippet provided in the following forum post:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/adding-ticket-name-to-attendee-export/
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime
