    Hi Steve,

Glad to hear that you got some other things figured out.  Let’s work on this issue about event websites now.

One option that you have is to add an additional field with the event website, which will show up within your details panel on your single events page.

Is this more along the lines of what you are looking for?

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: PROBLEM TO ENABLING PERMALINKS #1466215

Thanks for providing me with that information.

As a next step, can you update all of your Events Calendar related plugins to their most recent versions?

After doing so, if the issue still occurs, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Tommy,

Just to give you a bit more background information, we use JSON for Linking Data in relation to events.  You can see how our demo site turns up in Google Structured Data Testing Tool results. https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=http%3A%2F%2Fwpshindig.com%2Fevents%2F

I would recommend incorporating https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-schemaorg-rich-snippets/ into your site for further schema markup as needed.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Stuart,

Unfortunately we cannot log in to your site per our Support Policy, but I will do my best to assist you here.

In order to address that error, can you try removing Events Calendar PRO from your site completely via FTP and then re-install it via the Dashboard.

You’ll want to make a backup of your site first just in case.

Let me know if you have any other questions about this process, and let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Great, let us know how it goes!

in reply to: Mobil view of calender is not correct #1465799

    Hi Nina,

Thanks for providing me with that information.

I am seeing some errors related to your theme.  Can you try switching to a default WordPress theme, like ‘Twentyseventeen’ and see if the issue is resolved there?

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Mike,

Since this is a customization that you are creating, I cannot guarantee that things will work as expected.  This is not how we had things set up by default to work, but you are welcome to give it a try and see how it goes.

With adding in the available tickets to month view, I would imagine that it will update properly, but again cannot guarantee it, as this wasn’t the original intention for the plugin.

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Jonathan,

Do you have the same page templates and stylesheets under Events Settings < Display for both of your sites?

Does removing the original custom code take away a functionality that you need on your site?

Let me know how else I can assist!

    Thanks,

in reply to: Sales totals? #1465794

    Hi Mike,

I was actually referring to the Orders Tab for each individual event, which should give you a better idea of the total sales by event.

In any case, before we move forward, would you mind providing us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Hi Gregg,

Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.

You can inspect this template in your files: /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php and copy the template so that updates to the plugin will not affect the changes that you have made.

You can then edit that template and add in the additional information you are looking to add.

You may also be able to create custom email templates with the help of a third party plugin, like this one.

If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

You can also vote on this idea in our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

in reply to: Posts in Calendar (like Calendarize-it) #1465770

    Hi Jérôme,

Yes, you are correct.  Events are created in the backend with The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO.

On your WordPress site, you can also create posts and display them as you wish.  However you cannot create Events within Posts.  You can display events and post side by side within the main blog loop.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Ticket quantities show up with a negative number. #1465769

    Hi Karin,

Thanks for providing me with this information.  So just to clarify, this occurs on all ticketed events, correct?

It looks like you have a custom event page template.  Can you try switching to a default template and see if that resolves the issue?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/stylesheets-and-page-templates/

Also, it appears that you have your Google Maps API listed in multiple places.  Can you remove the API from everywhere, except for one place.  For example, it may be in your theme and in our plugin.

You can enable debugging by following the instructions in the following article:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

Let me know how all of that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: upcoming events for next month not listed in mini calendar #1465764

    Hi Steve,

1 – Since I seem to have always had events listed in every month since I got the mini calendar version, please confirm that the mini-calendar is suppose to list upcoming events in future months, whether or not there are events listed in the current month or not.

The mini calendar will list upcoming events in the current month underneath.  If you advance to the next month, it will list upcoming events for that month.  If there are no upcoming events in the current month, then nothing will be listed underneath.

2- And I wrote that I thought there was an option in the widget to have a number of events skipped. I want to make sure I saw that. I never used it, so I can’t be certain, but please confirm.

You can select how many events to show with the mini calendar widget, but cannot selectively skip certain events from displaying.

3- I went to my post on this problem to reread what I wrote, but it seems to be cutoff right after the beginning of the second paragraph. I can’t seem to open it to read my entire post. Am I missing something here?

It seems that your post is only one paragraph plus an extra line.  Was there more to it?

4- one other question I ran into. It appears that if a subscriber creates an event, I can’t move the author to someone else if I want. Is that correct? For instance, I create an event and want to later on transfer it to another subscriber, I don’t have that as an option.

If you go to the Edit Event page for that event, you can scroll down towards the bottom to the Author meta box, and you can select a different author and Save Changes.

Let me know your thoughts on all of this!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
