February 1, 2018 at 6:51 am #1441612Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterThanks so much for reaching out!
As a first troubleshooting step, can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes. You will want to clear your browser and site cache as well after doing this.
In the meantime, here is our article on Permalinks Best Practices:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/permalinks-best-practices/
Also, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

February 2, 2018 at 7:57 am #1442476Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterThanks for getting that information to me. It looks like your calendar is located on your homepage: http://www.vaffangiro.it/. Is that intended?
Here is an article on making the calendar your homepage. If this was not intended, you can essentially work backwards to remove this functionality (for example, by going to Settings < Reading and changing the homepage there):
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-make-your-calendar-your-sites-home-page/
When you go to Events Settings < General, what is your Events URL slug?
And what do you have your permalinks set to now if you go to Settings < Permalinks?
Let me know!
Thanks,
Jaime
February 12, 2018 at 3:48 pm #1451163sorry for the delay but i was reading the documentation About permalink and other to understand what was my mistake.
the problem is that when i enable permalink and my “Events URL slug” is set to EVENTS (and the prefix for single event is EVENT) i get the following error “The requested URL /events/ was not found on this server”.you told me that is because my events are under my homepage so, since i’d like to keep them under my homepage i erased the field “Events URL slug” and the “Prefix Single URL” so i can view my events in homepage
now the real problem is that now i cannot go inside any single event since i get the following error:
Not Found
The requested URL /tribe_events/amami-giornata-europea-della-musica-antica/ was not found on this server.please can you check for me what is the solution? you can access to the dashboard of my site if you .
thank you Gaetano Vaffangiro
February 13, 2018 at 6:04 am #1451571Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterOkay, thank you for getting back to this.
Unfortunately we cannot log in to your site per our Support Policy, but I will do my best to assist you here.
What do you currently have your Events Slug and Single Event Slug set to?
I see that your calendar page is still located on your homepage. Is that intended?
Also, what are your permalinks set to?
If you have made some changes, I’d recommend flushing your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes. You will want to clear your browser and site cache as well after doing this.
Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
February 13, 2018 at 4:20 pm #1452370Hi Jaime, i intend to locate my Calendar Page on my Homepage.
My Events Slug and Single Event Slug are set to:
events
event
my permalinks are set to http://www.vaffangiro.it/%postname%/
with this settings i get the following error:
The requested URL /events/ was not found on this server.
thank you for your help

February 14, 2018 at 12:31 pm #1453382Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterGreat, thank you for that information.
And what method are you using to display the calendar on your homepage?
Here are the methods we recommend for doing this:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-make-your-calendar-your-sites-home-page/
If you remove the calendar from your homepage, does the issue resolve itself?
Let me know!
Thanks,
Jaime
February 15, 2018 at 11:52 am #1454587hi Jaime i used the method: Primary Method: WordPress Settings → Reading
Front Page: Main Events Page
Post Page: TESTthis time i created a page with the shortcode to display my events (name of the page TEST) and i used
My Events Slug and Single Event Slug are set to:
events
event
my permalinks are:
http://www.vaffangiro.it /%postname%/
but in any case i get the message: The requested URL /events/ was not found on this server.
if i erase the “Event Slug” field and i don’t put anything inside i can regularly get the page with every event but if i try to open any event i get the message i.e.:
The requested URL /event/accademia-teatro-franzato-2017-18-23-ediz-varese-cuasso-porto-37/ was not found on this server.
please have you any idea of what is happening?
thank you very much Gaetano Vaffangiro
February 16, 2018 at 4:25 am #1455111Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterOne thing you can try is to use your tribe_events shortcode page as your homepage. You can set the front page to TEST and leave post page blank for now.
Let me know how this goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
February 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm #1461461I Jaime. I’ve done what you asked me but nothing is changed. The only thing that jump to my mind is that this problem could be connected to the fact that i have these lines in WP-CONFIG file:
define(‘WP_HOME’,’http://www.vaffangiro.it’);
define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’http://www.vaffangiro.it’);could be these causing the problem?
i had to put these lines because i could not reach my site without these lines. But now if i remove these lines i cannot anymore reach my site. have you an advice about the reason of why without these lines i cannot reach my site and if this could be the reason whi cannot set my permalinks?
thank you Gaetano Vaffangiro
February 23, 2018 at 10:40 am #1462270Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterThis could be part of the issue. If you go to Settings < General, what do you see as your Site URL and WordPress URL there exactly? You can take a screenshot if it helps.
Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
February 26, 2018 at 2:22 pm #1464291Hi Jaime, here i put the screenshot about Settings/General. I hope by this you can help me to solve my problem.
thank you Gaetano Vaffangiro
February 27, 2018 at 5:26 am #1464696Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterUnfortunately I’m not seeing any screenshot attached. Would you mind re-sending it?
Let me know if anything else coms up in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
